PRELIMINARY
1.1 . BACKGROUND
Book review report is a report that aims to find out the contents of the book, but more
focused on our evaluation of the strengths and weakness of the book, what is interesting from
the book and how the contents of the book can effect the way we think and increase aour
understanding of a study.
The material to be criticized is Tools support ICT. It is expected that with the report of this
book review, students can add to understanding of this material, and able to think critically and
systematically.
The purpose of this critical book is to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the
contents of the book, to test the quality of the book by comparing it against the work of the
same author or other author. Then the benefits are to fulfill the course assignments in teaching
and learning strategies and to increase knowledge about how to criticize a book.

2.2. CHAPTER SUMMARY
A. Audio Devices
Audio devices can be used with other media to form an interactive multimedia.However,
it can also be utilized separately as independent tool. Audio devices include speaker, earphone ,
CD, and ect.

This telephone medium has not been widely used for language teaching because of the
poor quality of analogue transmissions.
D. Internet
Internet can be used as a medium of language learning through email, world wide web,
text, audio and video conferencing.
E. Mobile gadget
Mobile gadgets such as a cell phone and smart phone which are equipped with programs
like computer, which enable it ti perform as mini personal computer.
F. Interactive whiteboard
G. Interactive Multimedia
This media provides facility or example that enables an interaction between human and
computer. People set up more interaction with computer in a more intuitive way with less
effort-through writing, voice, touch, eye movements, and other gestures.
Radio offers a synchronous educational vehicle, while streaming audio over the
internet with webcasts and podcasts can be asynchronous. Classroom microphones, of ten
wireless, can enable learners and educators to interact more clearly.

Many mobile devices such as clickers and smartphones can be used for interactive
feedback.

Group webpages, blogs, and wikis allow learners and educators to post thoughts,
ideas, and comments on a website in am imteractive learning environment.

Interactive whiteboards and smartboards allow learners and instructors to write on the
touch screen.
CHAPTER III. DISCUSSION
3.1. Assessment of the book
According to our analysis the weakness of Tools Support ICT is that there is very few
picture in this book.In this book doesn’t not write the author of this book.
According to our the weakness of Tools Support ICT in this book is that there are some
titles that do not exist,such as interactive multimedia, ect. So, this book is not complete as the
Information and Communication of Technology and there is material that is
incomprehensible.and the weakness of this book is the difficult to understand the topic what
the book talked about.
According to our analysis the strength of this book is a very easy word to understand the
threads of the leader. And the materials is directly leading to the discussion. So it encloses many
readers who are interested in reading this book.
According to our analysis the strength of this book is there is a pictures in every material
described so the readers don’t feel bored.
CHAPTER IV. CLOSING
4.1. Summary
From some of the descriptions above,it can be concluded that the weaknesses or
deficiencies found in this book, do not mean reducing the substance of the message that the
author wants to convey in this book.
Therefore, this book is very suitable for students, especially for teachers to assist in
carrying out their tasks that adhere to the principles of evaluation in every learning.
4.2. Suggestions
Our advices is for student to read this book even though there are weaknesses because
the book also has its own strength in each book, and from this book students will det useful
knowledge about ICT.
For the writer’s of the main book, we suggest to give more picture in that book so that
the readers can understand and not bored on the explanations based on the chapter we
reviewed. And for the writer’s of the comparison book, we suggest to provide easy words so
that the readers understand more
