Title: E-Learning is not Beneficial

My topic is all about E-Learning is not beneficial. Nowadays Education is the most important
thing that every person must have, you will not be hire at a job if you are not educated. The concept
of universal, compulsory public education developed gradually in Europe, from the early 16th
century on into the 19th. Before the E-Learning use as another type of learning the Traditional
Learning was use by all country. Traditional Learning refers to the education with teacher, students
and books. The teacher teaches her students the high-quality education and they refer to the books
that suited to the level of a student. In traditional learning the major source of their information is in
the books that publish by a trustworthy company. By the time passed by the technology improved
and created the E-Learning or Online Learning (1999). E-Learning different to Traditional Learning
it uses electronic gadgets such as laptop, phone, tablet and internet to access educational
curriculum they find information through internet. But there are bad effects to the learner education
that people doesn’t realize that and I strongly agree that E-Learning is not beneficial.

It is important to know that E-Learning have don’t have benefits to us especially to those
current learners that are using electronic gadgets to their educations. We all know that these days
people are already expose in electronic gadgets especially children. According to Department of
Computer Science, Lahore Garrison University, Lahore in 2013 Daily mail reported that 29% of the
toddlers can easily use the gadgets and remaining 70% are master by primary school age. So, it is
proven that the rate of people that using electronic gadgets are increasing. And it is bad because
even toddlers are affected with this dilemma. If this problem, ignore by the government this may be
a big impact to the people. Too much usage of gadgets to the people can affect our health especially
to the learners. An average child spends about 8 hours a day watching electronic screens that can
affect their vision (The USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). So, when learners use E-
Learning or electronic gadgets for education they will spend more than 8 hours to accomplish their
works. So, the outcome of this many learners will expose to different ill connected to overuse of
gadgets.

People think that E-Learning is easy yes, but there are some issues why E-Learning is not
beneficial. Learners will lose their focus; they will choose to play or use social medias rather than
studying. They are distracted to games, movies and social media so the time in listening and
studying will lessen. According to Shusuke Murai 78.1 percent of learners said that they have trouble
to wake up in morning. Because they are use too much gadgets like playing online games, watching
movies and using social media at night and make them lose their attention in school because of lack
of sleep. Another factor of E-Learning some learners can’t use electronic gadgets like disabled
children. Yes, it is comfortable to other children and how about to those disable children? It is
useless because some disable children are not capable to E-Learning, for example a blind learner
he or she can’t use laptop, phone or search to net. The teachers of the disable learners find it hard
when using electronic gadgets, not all keyboards are friendly or accessible and may have a
proprietary format that those with visual, motor or physical or sensory limitations cannot easily
access. (Jan Holloway and Chris Foley)

Another factor of E-Learning is the credibility of information. In the E-Learning they find
information through searching in the internet rather than using books. Before the E-Learning
originate we use books to find information and it is more legitimate than the information in the
internet. Some information in the net are not valid and true and it can affect that to the knowledge
and education of a learner. The Pew Research Center (PRC) found that 23 percent of American’s
have shared fake information, and 14 percent of those information that they knew it was fake. In
addition, 68 percent said that it is better to read and to find information in the book, while 32 percent
said that it is better to read and find information in the internet according to the survey of Debate.org.
In a word, it is better to read and find information in the books because it is more reliable and
accurate. It is tested that the information in book was created by a licensed author.

Thus E-Learning is more comfortable and can save time to find information? Yes, it is more
comfortable, and it can save time in E-Learning but to achieve a high-quality education and
information you will find it in traditional learning. You will choose the fastest way to find information,
but the information is not valid rather than the correct and consistent information? Books in traditional
learning is more accurate and reliable in information that you need. Books have earned a trusted
spot in our culture as legitimate sources of information, having been vetted by an entire network of
people, the internet does not always have that same quality assurance (Hannah Johnson).

Traditional teaching is boring and switches students off. I believe that it depends to the
teaching style of a teacher, that problem can counter by using of activities that’s makes the learner
encourage to study. Using of poster when teaching is better it helps to the learners to participate in
the class, they will learn a lot and at the same time they will enjoy. According to Osa and Musser,
posters are used to show a concept or something, show an operation, distinguish between similar
things and attract attention of the student in the classroom environment. Poster constitute of 90% of
brain stimuli and visual memory constitutes two-thirds of the brain.

In the final analysis the E-Learning is not beneficial to the learners. Nowadays E-Learning is
already implemented to some academy and universities, but it is time to open our eyes that E-
Learning is not beneficial to the learners. There are many studies that their main point is E-Learning
give negative effects to the education. E-Learning gives effect such as the attendance,
concentration, ability and interest of a learner, especially in lower grades such as elementary
because the level of their concentration is minimal. And not only their education can affect also the
health of the learners because they are using gadgets for 8 hours and more. To achieve a high
quality of education learners must able to socialize with other learners. It is part of education
because in the real-world interaction with other people is essential. In a word E-Learning is not
beneficial to the learners.
