India has been associated with the International Labor Organization since its inception in 1919. This paper analyzes India's association with the ILO in a critical manner. It discusses how India has ratified numerous ILO conventions over the years covering various aspects of labor and employment. However, implementation of these conventions remains a challenge in India. The paper was submitted by Ayesha Anand, a student of BBA-LLB at Symbiosis Law School in Hyderabad, in October 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Sanu Rani Paul for the course Alternate Dispute Resolution.
