The "TYPE AX " engines with the aim of producing a smaller and lighter engine with lower fuel
consumption when compared to “TYPE A .”
Ever since developing our first four-stroke engine in 1933, we have continuously worked to develop new
models that meet the customer's needs, constantly making firm improvements that have resulted in
Akasaka's current line of original, high-quality engines.
2-STROKE DIESEL ENGINE
In the years since Akasaka became a licensee of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1960, the
Akasaka - J-ENG UEC engine has become one of the large-scale two-stroke engine
manufactured in Japan. This engine is used in powering cargo vessels, tankers, refrigerated cargo
vessels, car carriers, and other ships.
