Hot Cheetos Lab Report Presentation

(20 points)

GOAL: You will be working with your lab group (groups of 2 or 3 people) to create a
presentation that organizes and presents your Hot Cheetos Experiment results in a clear,
informative way via an online presentation tool.

Creating a Presentation due by 11:55 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 22. (16 points)
Think about the Hot Cheetos Lab we did in class together, where we burned a single Hot
Cheetos and used it to heat up the water in the calorimeter. Remember the steps we took and
the different measurements we recorded down. Use Prezi or Google Slides or another online
presentation tool to create a presentation that outlines the different steps of the experiment.
Please invite me into the collaborating process so I can see each individual’s participation
(ms.kim@csufhigh.org). This will be your post-lab for this experiment and a means to show me
your understanding of the topic at hand. Within each slide, use the pictures that you took during
the experiment to showcase each step, or use relevant visuals on each slide (except for the
slides that are showcasing calculations).

You should include the following: (You can do more slides if needed!)

1) 1 slide for materials used

2) 5 slides outlining the steps for the experiment
3) 1 slide with a table that showcases your data in an organized and orderly fashion
4) 2 slides of calculations

Presenting the Presentation on Wednesday, Oct. 23. (4 points)

On the day after you turn in your presentation online, we will be doing a presentation workshop
during a portion of our class time on Wednesday. Each lab group will have a partner lab group
and both groups will take turns presenting and evaluating. Please make sure your presentation
is accessible through our Chromebooks for use at school. Your presentation should be about
3-5 minutes long.
