I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of the four fundamental
operations involving decimals and ratio and proportion.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to apply the four fundamental operations
involving decimals and ratio and proportion in mathematical
problems and real life situations.
C. Learning Competencies/Objectives Visualize the ratio of 2 given numbers

Ask the volunteers: Why did you volunteer for this activity?
I want to volunteer and I’m curious about the
activity that we’ll be having this afternoon.
There are 2 apples and 1 banana. The ratio of the number of apples
to the number of banana is 2:1. We read 2:1 as 2 to 1. The ratio
gives the number of objects in each set. This means that there are 2
units of apples to a unit of banana.
C. Presenting Examples/ instances of the Study the pictures below and answer the given questions.

Guide questions:
Very good!
Nice answer!
Very good! I’m happy that you can still remember the
process of reproduction in animals.
After the activity, the teacher asks the learners to do the “Very
Good Clap”.
You are going to visualize the ratio together with your groupmates.
Each group will receive an envelope and inside it is the instructions
and materials that you need for this activity.
Nice answer! It’s good that you know the standards in doing an
activity and as a teacher, I expect you to apply it.
You will be having an area for this activity. You already know your
area, right?
Yes maam.
Group 1
Write each ratio in colon and in fraction form.

Johnny and Pamela finally had time to visit their farm. They took a
picture of their farm and now asking you to write a fraction for the
ratio of:
Nice drawing and nice answer Group 3! Let’s give them 5 claps!
**the pupils will clap 5 times**
Group 4
Simpokan Elementary Schools is composed of 187 learners, 111
PTA Members, 7 classroom teachers and 1 school head.
Visualize the ratio of the following by writing it in colon form:
F. Developing Mastery I have here strips of paper containing numbers. You are going to
visualize the ratio by identifying if it is written in the form of colon
or fraction. Raise your hand if you want to answer.
Very good! Now, let us find the ratio of his medals to certificates,
ribbons to plaques, and medals to all the awards she received.
Demver, kindly write the ratio of medals to all the awards she
received.
Thank you Carlota, Kristian and Demver. Now, let’s checks their
answers.
I. Evaluating learning Direction: Visualize the ratio of the two given numbers in colon
form.
