Acromegaly
Acromegaly is a hormonal disorder that results when the pituitary gland produces
excess human growth hormone. Acromegaly is a serious condition that occurs when
the body produces too much of the hormones that control growth.
Hypopituitarism
Hypopituitarism is loss of function in an endocrine gland due to failure of the
pituitary gland to secrete hormones which stimulate that gland's function. Hypop
ituitarism is a condition that affects the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland.
