3.1 Development Methods
The developers used the Prototype Model also known as
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model as a method in
the development of this application. This methodology includes the
planning, analyzing, designing, coding, testing and maintenance.
The prototyping model comprised the following activities:
Planning, Analyzing, Designing, Coding, Testing and Evaluating.
Planning was the first phase wherein the developers decided what
kind of system they were going to develop. In this process, the
researchers set their goals and thoughts of how to develop the best Figure 1: Main Menu Interface

concept of the system and how its flow, and the requirements and
specification needed in able to build the system.
The analysis was the second phase in which the developers
discussed and analyzed the specification and the desire output of
the system. The researchers sought information by creating
questionnaires. The developers also searched in the internet for the
useful information they can use to improve the output of their
application.
This process greatly helped the researchers to have more
knowledge and ideas for the system. This process also served as an
asset to the developers to finish this piece of work. They also
discussed the possible program used and how the application run

decided on the graphical interfaces that would be relevant to the
topic, the color suitable to the users, and the design which will
achieve the interactivity. Using their knowledge in photo editing,
the developers designed the background and buttons using Adobe
Photoshop CS6. They also showed the representation of the system
such as data flow diagrams, and the use case diagram to easily
understand the flow of the system.
The next phase was coding wherein the developers conducted a
research on how to code properly and appropriately. Coding is very
important in every system that is why the developers took careful
coding to minimize the errors. During the coding phase, the
developers searched the programming codes on the internet to learn
how to run the system. They also asked for help from their co-
developers to make the application functional. Figure 3: Microsoft Word Categories Interface

4 CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were derived based on the
results of the evaluation of the system.

1. The system helped the users to have an additional

knowledge about computer hardware parts and
Microsoft Office;

2. The system helped the end users to be educated while

being entertained.;

3. The system is easy to manipulate thus, the interaction

between the system and the user is therefore smooth;
and

4. The system provides an easy access because of its

portability.

5 RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the conclusions, the following have been
recommended:

1. The user must read the proper installation of the

system.

2. The hardware and software specification must

follow to avoid a problem.
