RA 10175 or Commonly known as Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 is an act that

We cannot deny how technology transforms every individual today. With the emerging new
technology, people somehow trying to cope with the changing needs. People uses technology
almost in all other forms; by communicating, sending messages, writing letters or even doing
business. These are the good benefits of using technology but everyone should be aware that
using this should have limitations. Mass media or different technology tools are good if used
properly. But on contrary, these tools could also be harmful to us. One of these is the cybercrime
or criminal activities carried out by means of computers, mobile phones, tablets or other
accessories with the use of internet. Cyber refers to computer network, the electronic medium in
which online communication takes place.

With these issue and problems, the RA 10175 Cybercrime prevention act of 2012 was
promulgated to stop this kind of crime where people could be put into harm or detrimental. The
computers or internets should be of social and economic benefit and should be used accordingly
or else anyone who will abuse will be punished in accordance with the law.

B. BODY
The cybercrime law is very useful in protecting and safeguarding the integrity of the individual,
organization or any members of the society in using the internet. This law combat offenses to
facilitate the detection of the location of a particular internet user, to counter him/her and to fine
necessary penalty as a result of his unlawful actions. Authorities exert effort to search and obtain
date from the users online. This law regulates the act committed online such as libel, the cybersex,
pornography, theft, spamming and hacking and other forms of internet distractions.

C. Conclusions:
Using internets and new technology entails responsibility and accountability. A responsible
user knows her right and limitations while using technologies. Further, cybercrime prevention act is an
instrument of making the country safe, peaceful and healthy world to live in by protecting individual
right.
Cybercrime prevention act provides awareness to people.

D. INSIGHTS

Cybercrime is inevitable. For some, they are using internets as a means of living without
having an awareness of what is its consequences. For some, they are using as a recourse for their
boredom, hurting someone online just for fun. But as they say, ignorance of the law excuses no one.
Therefore, all must be aware of the individual rights in order not to put someone in a ____
circumstances.
2. R.A 9184 Government Procurement Reform Act
A. Introduction:

R.A. 9184 known as Government Procurement Act has the purpose of prescribing the
necessary rules and regulations for the modernization, standardization and regulation of the
procurement activities of the Government of the Philippines. This act is to promote good
governance and to adhere to the principles of transparency, accountability, equity, efficiency and
economy in the procurement process.

In our country, the very reason why procurement reform act was established is to avoid
corruption and ensures that every single centavo should be well spent in a manner that the public
should benefit. Corruption is the very reason why the spending in the government should be
monitored. According to the study, 20% of the government project goes to kickback or corruption.
To avoid this, the procurement plan should follow a thorough process such as the following:
procurement planning, preparation of tender documents, invitation to bid, pre-qualification, bid
evaluation, awarding of contract, implementation
