Classroom Observation

A. Introduction
The Observation was done to complete the assignment of Teaching Methodology. Beside that
I want to know how the students behaviour ini the class so I can handle them one
day. Actually this Observation is mainly to find the way of teaching and how
questioning process at the classroom. The name of the school is SMPN 4
Montasik, at Jln. Tgk. Empe Awe, Atong, kec. Montasik, kab. Aceh besar. The
teacher name is Khairunnas S.Pd,i he is a young teacher that graduated of Arabic
Language Education from UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. And he is as an Arabic
teacher.
B. Body

When I entered the class, for the first time teacher told me to intoduce my self to all of
student and then he order me to sit at the behind of classroom for observe how the
way he teach a students.

1. The teacher’s ways of managing the classroom


the teacher is very clever in managing the class, he started by asking the students
about the material last week, so the students did not forget the previous
material. after asking students some questions about the previous week's
lesson, then the teacher continued the material for this meeting. in the
material presentation, the teacher did it very excitedly, so that not of
students were sleepy. on the sidelines of the material explanation, once the
teacher changed the topic of the conversation, from the subject matter to
the shirah nabawiyah story which made the students more interested in
listening to what was said by the teacher. After that the teacher continued
the explanation of the material which had stopped because it slipped a
short story in the explanation of the material. That’s how the teacher
manages the class, with the extraordinary enthusiasm the teacher has in
teaching, and the enthusiasm of the students in hearing the lessons, so that
it becomes a very extraordinary class.

2. Teacher’s ways of asking question and his respon about students answer
After the teacher completes the explanation to the students, the question and
answer side comes. the teacher immediately asked a few questions, all the
students immediately raised their hands to answer the question. after
someone answered the question, some of the students had the correct
answer and there were also those who were not right in answering. for
those whose answers are correct, the teacher responds with lively hands
while being followed by the other students, and for the wrong ones also
gives more appreciation for the answers and for his courage in answering.
C. Summary

What I think about this observation has many benefits, one of that I can learn how the
teacher managing his students in the classroom. This observation gave me lot of
experience and opened my mind about the reality of teaching process is different
from what I have expected. Finally I was thanks to Mr.Khairunnas S.Pd,i who has
allowed me to enter, and also thanks a lot to students who have received me as
observers of your teaching and learning activities.
