left of the hazard warning are precautions to be taken when
handling the undiluted product and the ones on the right for
when handling the diluted product

WHAT IS A PESTICIDE?
Pesticides are products that are used to protect
crops against weeds, diseases and insects and
others are used as household products to control
vectors of human and animal diseases. These
products must be registered by the Department
of Agriculture under the Fertilizer, Farm Feeds,
Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act,
1947 (Act No 36 of 1947). All pesticides registered
under this Act will have a registration number
expressed as Reg No Lxxxx of Act No 36 of 1947
immediately under the trade name
HOW TO APPLY
PESTICIDES
Use registered Pesticides
Read the label carefully before use and
follow the instructions.
When preparing and applying a product wear
protective clothing.
PESTICIDES
After spraying, clothing and equipments
should be removed and washed with soap,
separately from the household washing.
Wash with soap after use.
Never smoke or eat when using pesticides.
Observe the required interval between last
application and harvest.
HOW TO STORE
Product must always be stored under lock
and key and out of reach of children.
Keep pesticides in their original containers
even if less quantity is left.
Always keep the container tightly closed.
Never transfer pesticides to other
containers, especially beer and soft drink
containers.
Prevent spray drift of pesticides.
Store pesticides in a cool place never in
direct sunlight.
Pesticides should be stored in dry and well
ventilated room.
