White Supremacy According to Paul Reeve and Kelly J. Baker

White supremacy is the notion of superiority perceived by some people that whites are

better than other races. Any person who believes that the whites are inherently superior is a

white supremacist. Mormons on the other is the religion of a small group in the United States

that emerged between the years of nineteenth century. According to Reeve (2015) Mormon

belonged to the members of the church of Jesus. These Mormons were just other races other

than the usual white race. He says that Mormons can be blacks, Indians or Orients because of

their ‘harems’ but hardly can they be whites. According to him, the Mormons are not white

because of their degenerate behavior. The scholar argue that the creatures depicts certain

characters that disqualify them from belonging to the white race. The writer connects the white

supremacy with the religion of Mormons. Mormon claiming for whiteness was observed in the

year 2012 when one of them tried out entrance into the white house.

However, on the other hand, Baker (2011) postulates the white supremacy from the

accounts of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). She argues that the religion group shared a lot with the

common whites in terms of the nationality and American identity. Baker argue that the

Klansmen practiced protestant as away of promoting white supremacy, anti-Catholic and

American culture among other factors. According to Baker, the KKK group seemed more

deepened into the preservation of the American culture. However, one outstanding similarity

between Reeve and Baker is that both the groups were in support of the American nationality

and culture. According to the duos, the two religions supports the white supremacy.
