Adaptive Leadership

Market fluctuation is one factor that is traumatizing most of the

business partners. Most particularly, the advancement in technology, which

is resulting to the downfall of several business companies. Using the Sears

business organization, the rise of many online business counter parts is

responsible for its downfall (Obolensky, 2017). The down fall is not only

experienced in Sears a lone but also in the other stores such as the Kmart

and Macy’s stores. These stores have been seen to be closing down as a

result of the increasing online business platforms offering the same

commodities as Sears, Kmart and Macy’s, for example sales of motors. The

advancement of the online sales is perhaps due to the fact that most people

are today computer literate and can effectively use internet. Seemingly,

there will be little or no buying of goods and services from the retail stores

in future since the online counter parts have appeared to have been more

competitive than their retailer’s counterpart. This is because the online

business platforms reduce transportation cost as compared to using the

retail stores.

To counter this online tragedy, the retailers are planning of working

together in order to come up with common and more lucrative offers than

their internet-based counterpart. Besides, they are also planning to

introduce incentives for them to retain their old customers and attracts new

customers. Since most of the contractors who are aged cannot afford to

use internet more effectively, they will prefer using the retail store where

they are given practical gifts on purchases than relying on the internet

made purchase. Therefore, when the retailers make it to implement their

ideas, then there is little doubt that their online counterparts will overcome.

However, for the retailers to compete more effectively, they must offer

after sale services like transportation to their clients more reliable and

faster (Obolensky, 2017).
