The main objective of this essay is to look a the factors that influence quality,

safe, patient -centred care. Nurses are entitled with the responsibility of ensuring

patients are well taken care of. Factors that influence quality service delivery in health

centres are discussed in details.

Technology has been incorporated in offering health services. Inclusion of

computers in storing records and essential information in hospitals has been

benefitial. Medical services such as chemotherapy and physiotherapy has been a

major breakthrough in health sector. Dialysis and diagnosis of chronic deseases such

as cancer and most surgical process have been successful due to developments in

technology. Healthcare information technology has provided a platform for research

and discovery of new treatment procedures. However, technology comes with a

number of complications such complicated programs which need trained personnel.

Nurses find it hard to incorporate new technology in ensuring patients’ health

satisfaction. Apart from this challenges technology has helped to reduce work load in

health services. Patients are now more secure as they are monitored by machines

which accurately raise alert in cases of emergency (Jarrar et al,2018).

Communication is a key factor in quality health care. It determines the state

of the relation between the patient and the caretaker. Interaction quality inturn

makes the patient feel secure and in good hands. It is sad that some doctors and

health officers lack adequate communication skills when it comes to service delivery.

Nurses need to be trained on how to present edical comments to patients. The

language used should be friendly, polite and professional. It has been revealed that

good oral skills in health facilities give patients hope of quick recovery. Quality

healthcare can only be assured if the health care organization uses the patient

centered model. The needs of a patient need to be understood by the caretaker and

the feedback provided with an immediate effect. Prescription language should be

simple and more localized to create patient awareness (Jarrar et al,2018).

Collaboration of healthcare systems builds competence in service delivery.

Communication plays a major role when it comes to collaboration. Doctors and nurses

need to work in unity to ensure quality healthcare and security of patients. In the

past, nurses and would arque in terms of professionality and academic qualifications

regarding urses as of low value. This caused death of patients with serious

complications which were not attended to. Renovations were done by the world health

organization to improve on working as a unit when it comes to providing health

services. Lately health centres are working together to achieve a common goal.

Health facilities need to build links not only within the facility but also with external

links. This creats an environment which best fits the patients’ needs and satisfaction.

Patient centred model requires sharing of information and ideas as far as quality and

safety of healthcare is concerned (Jarrar et al,2018).

Shared decision making is the sharing of health ideas between healthcare

providers and the patients when a need of making decision arises. It is important in

developing patient -doctor relationship. Before a doctor administers a treatment to a

patient they must discuss extensively on the reliability of the medical process.

Patients should be prepared psychology incase of surgical process or diagnosis of

chronic diseases. Shared desion making is proposed bypatient centred care. It has

worked well in health facilities as clinicians creat good interactive sessions with

patients before medication or change of drugs. Decision making process id

determined by prevailing conditions. This method has improved patient knowledge

and satisfaction. In general it is a beneficial approach towards quality healthcare

(Jarrar et al,2018).

Laws, regulations, and policies have been established to ensure smooth

running of health facilities. The poliies and requlations provide a guidance to clinicians

and health service providers. They state the roles of each personnel in a patient’s

environment. It has enhanced health compliance among the doctors and nurses.

Patients are asured of privacy and access to their health information unlike before.

Requlations and laws have helped reduce fraud and negligence of patient. Patients

are now sure of quality services as their rights are well stated. Clinicians have build

high standard of professionalism not to violate the set policies (Jarrar et al,2018).

Advancement in technology as created general health awareness within the

society and the clinitians. Technology being used in health care today has reduced

motality rares by providing alternative mechanisms of diagnosis. Inventions in terms

of organ transplant has helped save lives . communication systems have improved

in health facilities due to technology (Jarrar et al,2018). There are few drawbacks of

technology in health care. Lack of kmowledge to handle new equipments has caused

accidents posing a great danger to patients. Technology in the near future will used

as a tool to diagonise all known and unknown diseases. It has reduced the work of
