Hitches in hiring Daycare Staff

Success of a child care facility depends on the quality of facilities put in place.

Classrooms should be well equipped with all requirements for child development. Well-

equipped classrooms does not provide the assurance of child care efficiency. Employing

qualified and competent teachers is the core of a child care center. The success of children is

proportional to the availability and effectiveness of the managing staff. Problems arise when it

comes to management hiring. This paper looks surveys major difficulties encountered in hiring

child care staff (Shdaimah et al, 2018).

Finding a quality childcare staff is a major difficulty. Qualified and experienced child

care teachers are few. Looking for these individuals require time and funds. Most child care

manager are few in the field. Recent graduates cannot handle children effectively. They have

less application knowledge and require a senior staff member to guide them. Theoretical

knowledge learnt from schools is limited when it comes to children and their development. An

expert in child psychology should be hired to lead the junior teachers. The problem is that these

individuals are scarce since few people major in child care courses and colleges.

It is difficult to isolate best teachers from a group of applicants. Child care workers

have studied in different institutions with distinct curriculum. Choosing the best here needs a

well-defined process. The process may include interviews and intense research on the

applicant’s code of conduct and the overall social factors. Communication skills of the worker

are critically evaluated to ensure that the care taker does not alter with the development pattern

of a child. Time is needed to find the right managing staff who can handle children in an upright

manner. This calls for a follow up on the workers certifications in the process of reference

checking. The attitudes and flexibility of the worker are also considered. Basically, finding the

best staff is time consuming (Shdaimah et al, 2018).

Insufficient funds and staff wages lays a foundation for poor delivery of services.

Recently day care managers aim at making profit. Regarding this unwanted direction,

employment of staff becomes a major challenge because highly qualified teachers and

caretakers cannot be paid well. Poor wages are directly proportional to poor service delivery.

Conflict of interest leads to hiring of inexperienced teachers who are not competent in raising

children in a desired way. The policies of child care centers need to be reformed and the notion

of business be ruled out completely (Weglarz-Ward Santos and Timmer 2019).

Child care facilities do not offer upward job mobility. The problem has led to teacher’s

low morale in working. Qualified child care staff would rather remain unemployed than work

in an organization that does not recognize their work. The issue has led to decline in number

of qualified child care managers. They tend to join other field which offer promotion and

recognition to its workers. Low salaries tend to diminish the value of the qualified care takers

in the field (Weglarz-Ward Santos and Timmer 2019).

Context of the Inquiry

Modern child care centers use technology and science to raise up kids. Most of

preschool educators to lack vital skills to handle this children. Introducing children to global

technological dynamics is a good start. For instance the use of computer simulations and

diagrams to stimulate learner attention is vital. Educators at this stage have not been trained to

work on digital system. This makes it a difficulty in finding an expert in teaching-learning

process of children. At this stage children need to be trained on language acquisition and self-

responsibility. This objective can only be achieved if the working staff is well equipped with

the required knowledge and skills. (Weglarz-Ward Santos and Timmer 2019).

An appreciative inquiry major on the best areas in which the child care organization is

doing well. In order for an organization to compete efficiently, the management of any

organization must analyze its weaknesses and strengths. This will enable them to know where

to adjust and how to adjust. The knowledge of appreciative inquiry can be applied in a learning

institution to help the heads achieve their targets and goals as an organization. Childcare

organizations tend to look at ways of overcoming staff inefficiency. Policies and guidelines

provide a way forward in hiring a quality child care services (Shdaimah et al, 2018).

Mission or Purpose of the Organization

A child care center can be known from its effectiveness and efficiency of the results it

produces. An implication of this is shown by the competitiveness of most learners graduating

from the institution. This success can be tied to its well-laid mission to everyone who comes

across it. The mission of the school centralizes on the cultivation of talents and innovations

towards meeting the technological advancement in the world. In complying with the mission,

the school is majorly based on technological skills. This is evidenced by the approach they give

to learning activities, which are almost technology sensitive. Day care services are aimed at

improving child’s social and psychological faculties (Cooperrider and Srivastva, 2017).

Relationship of Project to Learner Goals

Child care project equips the learners with sufficient knowledge to handle kids.

Establishment of day care facilities are explored helping learners identify weaknesses and the

strengths of an able working childcare staff. Learners therefore are able to set valid and

achievable goals in a child are management. Learning child care management skills lays a

strong foundation in human resource employment in a preschool development. Objectives and

goals of learners are led by child care project theories and guidelines.
