English Language Arts Tic-Tac-Toe
Find a youtube video on one of
Create a list of 15 words from
this unit with definitions. Include
the page number where you
found those definitions.
Create a comic strip using Pixton.
The comic strip should be a
summary of one of the short
stories we talked about in class.
It should have a minimum of 5
panels with speech bubbles on at
least 2 panels.
Create a crossword puzzle using
terms from our poetry chapter.
Once you make the crossword
puzzle, fill it out as if you were
doing it. Create your crossword
puzzle using Puzzlemaker.

traditional, or religious stories.
Write a bullet point list
summarizing the events of the
story. Each list must include 10-
15 bullet points.
Draw a picture that represents the
vocabulary words that we gathered
throughout the year. Draw 3 pictures
from our poetry chapter, 3 from our
informational text chapter, and 3 from
our fictional story chapter. After
drawing them, make sure to give the
title of the vocabulary word on each
drawing.
Interview a family member about
a family tradition or story. Then,
write the story from their
perspective. Use quotes from
your family member, along with
your own narrations.
Create a powerpoint presentation
as if you were a news reporter.
Look up a current event in the
news and describe it using at
least 5 slides and 2 pictures.
Write a poem on the topic of your
choice. Be sure to include the
rhyme scheme used. Poems must
have at least 8 lines. Don’t forget
to give it a title! 
Research and read a short story
of your choosing. Analyze how
dialogue or the incidents in the
story show you the character’s
traits or provoke their next
decision.
