PRAYER

Lord God Almighty,

We thank You for giving all of us the privilege to serve our country
each and every day and for the invaluable opportunity to make a positive
impact in the lives of our people
Bless us all with good health, clear minds, and inner peace, of
unnecessary worries, to put aside all anxiety and place our faith in your
infinite wisdom;

Grant us discernment in crafting laws and policies as we seek better

ways to recognize the issues that our nation faces today and will be
facing in the coming years ahead, so that we may be united in working
for what is best for our fellowmen;

Keep our nation safe from the perils of disaster, sickness, and hunger,
making us aware that we are all a part of the greater whole, and that all
of us has the responsibility to conserve, nurture, and protect the one
world which sustains us; and

Finally, we ask You Lord to always endow us with your wisdom and
love, that we may find contentment and peace of mind in the work you
lay out for us, and to nurture our trust and faith so that we may
strengthen our resolve to overcome all the challenges we may face
throughout the years ahead.
