a. Content, layout and style [4 Marks]


This website is well designed, and has relative visual content clearly visible on its landing page,
the layout is also top notch as it’s designed in such a way that its simple enough for anyone to
navigate around, with links neatly placed on top of the landing page and lastly the style is really
has a friendly feel to it and graphically appealing.

b. Ease of navigation [4 Marks]


Looking at the site they have done a great job on navigation e.g. logo is connected to homepage
and site is simple enough. But I am going to point out one or two omissions they have left out.
First, I notice that they have no clear hierarchical structure at all, and thus, one can also not
clearly see where you were before and where you currently are. I think their site map is not
reliable with the scroll method, it can easily be missed. And secondly, I see there is no search
bar on the site except on the shop page which is more complete with a drop-down menu as
well. They only have one navigation menu as links, no drop down. And finally, I see that under
services most options are not active like, bill payments, Dstv & Box office payments, Gotv, pre-
paid electricity and Buy Airtime. And then again you have simply pictures and not links with
groceries liquor and specials even though you are told “See More” on the site map.

c. Ease of use [4 Marks]


On ease of use I see that the site is fine but not perfect, since it is orientated towards product
sales. The price of product is displayed but sum images are nonexistent also that once you are
on the shop page and click on the logo it does not take u back to the home page as it supposes
to. There is an inconsistency with the use of Social media icons appearing on most pages` footer
only thus, making it difficult for users to see such platforms as they are not on the header as
well, and Facebook icon is missing on the shop page footer. Again, the shop page opens in a
new tab once clicked on in the home page, thus u can`t go back to home page once you in the
shop as there is no home tab on the shop page.

d. Speed of response [4 Marks]


Speed and response time of the site I can say it is phenomenon across the internet with the
fastest being 0.221 seconds and the slowest 3.049 seconds. This is also based on my internet
speed thus; is not the consistent speed of the site it will vary from user to user. For such results
are used the http check(https://check-host.net) where I could also find out that to connect
to the nearest server it only took 0.020 seconds. In other words, the response time is very fast
because once you click on a link a page immediately opens; one, does not have wait long for
pages to load.

e. Search function [4 Marks]


As I said the search functionality is totally almost ignored or nonexistent. By pressing the ctrl+F
short cut from the home page to open find bar. From the find bar, I can type keywords home,
shop, specials, news, competitions, events, recipes, services and career but none of these
searches will open the relevant pages except for the services search It at least brings up our
services slide but does not open the page . In the exclusion of the search bar on most of the
pages I conclude that search functionality is poorly implemented. And because the search bar is
only found on the Shop page, which is not hyperlinked to the home page, makes it impossible to
search the above keywords via the search tab and open them.

f. Overall design [4 Marks]


This I can say its satisfactory, the colors used are relevant to content of the site and it really
stands out to customers as it used quality graphics. Using a lot of white background really helps
bring out the colors more.

g. User Experience [2 Marks]


User experience is good because it renders to the user the basic online shopping functionality,
things like clear pricing and the cart and check out functionality with options of payment
methods are clearly available.
