Dear Sir/Mam,

The vacant position of ‘Assistant professor (Management)’ at Suryadatta Institute of

Business Management and Technology, advertised on the official institute-website caught
my attention. I have been searching for a position of this sorts for a while, where I can find
amalgamation of my skills, my experience and my interests.
I have gone through all the provided information relevant to this vacancy on the
website, and I find myself to be, quite a good fit at almost all prerequisites mentioned. I hold
a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a master’s in Business Administration. I
have completed my masters with the academic grade ‘A’. I was handpicked along with few
other students from the university and was offered the responsibility of ‘Business Analyst/
Digital Consultant’, by an MNC software company where I had been working since. I have
been pedagogically involved in providing training and instructions to the new recruit batch
for my employer organization. Previously I have worked as a ‘Team-lead’ in an education
institute. This was my first teaching experience and I found love and passion for teaching
from that experience onwards.
To be able to pursue a carrier in teaching I decided to appear for the UGC Net
examination. In my first attempt I have cleared that exam which was conducted in June
2019 and consequentially now I am deemed eligible to be employed as an Assistant
Professor.

I believe, I can not really do without teaching. The reason is, I have to have
something so that when I don't have any research ideas and I'm not getting anywhere I can
say to myself, "At least I'm living; at least I'm doing something; I'm making some important
contribution" it's just psychological. When there are the longer periods of time when
not much is coming to me and I am teaching a class, I can think about the elementary things
that I know very well. These things are kind of fun and delightful. It doesn't do any harm
to think them over again. Is there a better way to present them? Are there any new problems
associated with them? Are there any new thoughts I can make about them? The elementary
things are easy to think about; if I can't think of a new thought, no harm done; what I thought
about it before is good enough for the class. If I do think of something new, I
am rather pleased that I have a new way of looking at it. The questions of the students
are often the source of new research. They often ask profound questions that I've thought
about at times and then given up on, so to speak, for a while. It wouldn't do me any harm
to think about them again and see if I can go any further now. The students may
not be able to see the thing I want to answer, or the subtleties I want to think about, but they
remind me of a problem by asking questions in the neighborhood of that problem. It's not so
easy to remind one’s own-self of these things. So, I find that teaching and the students
keep life going, and I feel teaching as a necessary part of living life – doing research –
molding young minds – contributing to my own self development. I have to have teaching in
my life – you see, I am very passionate about it.
Also, I have some research experience; as I have previously worked as a research intern at a
tech-logistics company; I have also delivered two research Thesis during my masters,
adopting empirical research approach based on primary data throughout the project. I have
trained myself in Data Analytics languages and tools like ‘R’, ‘SQL’, Qliksense, Amplitude and
Tableau. Having done my bachelor’s in Information Technology, I have adequate knowledge
and skills in engineering and technology along with hand-on skills in Data Driven Analytics.
I have experience of working on various software projects for domestic and International
clients. I have personally handled clients from the following locations.
Spain 2) UAE3) USA4) Indonesia 5) India

On given an opportunity to work as an Assistant Professor, I am sure the students would

learn a great deal from my experiences which will help in their overall development.

Apart from being a good fit at the job I have found personal reasons to be drawn to
this position. I have done my research about Suryadatta Institute’s profile and the kind of
work the Institution has been doing is really interesting. I believe ‘developing a
competent next generation’ is the engine for human prosperity. The opportunity to mold
lives in positive manner, is what gives a man, reason to get out of bed and get ready for the
day. All, I want is an opportunity of this sorts, eachday – everyday of my life and I believe
that this vacant- position could provide me just that. Plus, from what I have read, the work
culture at the B-School is supposed to be amazing. I would like to experience it, first-hand.
It is because of my personal and professional fit; I believe that I am almost perfectly
cut out for this job. I would love to find out, that you have taken interest in my candidacy. I
express my sincere gratitude for taking time-out to review my application. If you need any
more information from my side, feel free to write me at sid741994@gmail.com Or contact
me on skype-ID: ‘sid741994’. I will be waiting for your reply.
