ACTIVITY SHEET
Photosynthesis

NAME: ______________________________________ GRADE: ______ SCORE: ________

INTRODUCTION:
Life continues only as long as an ongoing flow of energy sustains its organization. Notice that in the food chain we
will always go back to plants as the main requirement for our survival. Recall that plants have cell walls, large vacuoles,
and chloroplasts to harness and store energy through photosynthesis.

OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this activity, the students will be able to:
a. describe how plants obtain energy;
b. explain how light energy is used to form energy-rich compounds; and
c. recognize the importance of photosynthesis in maintaining life.

I. FILL IN THE BLANKS

Take note of the answers to the following questions as the video plays.

II. REFLECTION
From what you know of photosynthesis, would life be possible without plants? Why?
