TRIDENT SEAFOODS BRINGS THE STORY OF CHUCK BUNDRANT

TO LIFE WITH NEW PODCAST
______________________________________________________________________________

SEATTLE, WA (October 28, 2019) –Trident Seafoods announced today the launch of its all-new limited
edition podcast, Catching a Deckload of Dreams – Chuck Bundrant and the Story of Trident Seafoods. Based on
the book of the same name published in 2013, the podcast is a blend of audio book and modern day
commentary. The company plans to release a chapter every other week, introduced by Analise Gonzales, a
Trident employee and the granddaughter of Chuck Bundrant.

Authored by John Van Amerongen, a former editor of the Alaska Fisherman's Journal and Trident’s vice
president of communications and sustainability, Catching a Deckload of Dreams is the culmination of a seven-
year project. Through numerous interviews, the book captures stories as told by the men and women who
pioneered the Alaska fisheries and Trident Seafoods. The now retired Van Amerongen – or “Van Am” as he is
known in the industry – brought the book to life by personally recording its thirty three chapters.

“Honoring my father’s legacy through this narrative is important to me and to our stakeholders,” says Joe
Bundrant, Trident’s CEO. “As the next generation of our family enters into this business, recognizing those that
helped build this company, and the tremendous hurdles and challenges they overcame, is crucial to maintaining
our culture, heritage and brand. We are honored to share this story with the industry, and with our customers,
employees and the greater fishing community,” explains Bundrant.

Gonzales is also deeply connected to the podcast project. “Representing the third generation of Bundrants, and
paying tribute to my grandfather, as well as those who have contributed so much to this industry and the
company is truly humbling,” says Gonzales. “I’m excited to introduce each chapter and the people who have
shared their stories. Our hope is that the podcast – which is really a series of short stories – makes the book’s
content accessible to a broader audience in a convenient, easily digestible and contemporary way.”

The forward as told by Joe Bundrant, and the first chapter “North to Alaska” are available now. To listen to
