The taxpayer is an approved non-profit organization under section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001
and its income is subject to 100% tax credit in terms of Section 100C of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Therefore, no income tax under section 151 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 read with Section 159(1) of
the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 is deductible in its case from profit on debt from deposits in Government
Securities, National Saving Schemes, NIT Units, collective investment scheme authorized or registered under
the non banking finance companies (Established and Regulation) Rules, 2003, Mutual fund, a real estate
investment trust approved and authorized under the real estate investment trust rule, 2006 or scheduled
banks.

This exemption certificate is valid upto 31.12.2018 unless cancelled earlier. Income Tax already
deducted/deductible before the issuance of the certificate would not be refunded to the taxpayer company
but deposited in the Government treasury.
