ESTABLISHMENT OF BUILDING LINES
OBJECTIVES: To formulate guide lines to establishment of building lines for construction of pile caps,
beams, walls & columns due to present site condition.

01 Set the theodolite in a previously established Tec. Officer AE
grid line where both back site & fore site are
visible.
02 Target the fore site & set the angle to zero by Tec. Officer AE
tightening the upper plate & lower plate
screws.
03 Release the upper plate screw & turn the Tec. Officer AE
telescope by 180° & sited the back site.

04 If the reading is 180° the point is erected Tec. Officer AE

exactly on the grid line & considered as correct.
05 By using the telescope mark the grid line on Tec. Officer AE
screed conc. laid as a sub base for pile cap.
 06 Repeat the 01-05 again by erecting the Tec. Officer AE
theodolite in a pre established perpendicular
grid line.
07 From the perpendicular grid lines marked on Tec. Officer AE
the screed concrete, establish the grid lines on
a adjoin pile cap by using a tape, a plumb bob &
line marker according to the drawing
measurements.
08 All other lines & off lines also established to Tec. Officer AE
facilitate to tie R/F & F/W.
09 Request for inspection AE SM
