This paper consists of TEN questions.
Answer any ALL questions.
Candidates must not write anything on the question paper.
Maximum marks for each part of the question are as indicated.
1) Convert
(i) 0.4375 to a proper fraction
(ii) 4.285 to a mixed number (4 marks)
2) It takes 50 minutes to machine a certain part, using a new type of tool, the time can be
reduced by 15%. Calculate the new time taken (4 marks)

4) In a right angled triangle PQR angle Q = 900
i. calculate length PR if PQ= 15cm, QR= 20cm. (5 marks)
