Abstract:
The talent show is about recognizing and in a way rewarding the most
creative of students within the Uganda Christian University Mbale campus
fraternity. The effort seeks to laud the young men and women endowed in
the areas of music and the creative arts .It is also aimed at marketing the
campus and making it a house hold name and University of choice. Many a
times in our marketing drives we move out to get our potential clients hardly
do we bring them to our campus. It’s time we brought them home and
inspired them to join the University.
/It will also be an opportune moment to carry out the great commission
that our LORD Jesus Commanded us.
The Campus Talent show will feature music dance and drama by different
performers to entatain, educate and inform
Objectives: The year’s biggest talent show to promote and advertise and
establish UCU-Mbale campus as a house hold brand name and University of
choice for prospective applicants.
To spread the Gospel of our LORD JESUS to the young generation through
music, and the creative arts.
To set a precedent in the region and a benchmark for other to follow by,
transforming UCU-Mbale Campus into a model institution in the region and
beyond.
NB. The choice of name has to put into consideration the current fads of the
youths who are the target population. This has to have in mind their pre
occupation with celebrity culture, slangs as perceived to be in vogue by the
majority. I am persuaded that the youths in secondary schools and
institutions of higher learning easily respond to events and names they can
easily identify with.
Event Sponsors: The light , offered a Public Address System, ABBA Events
have also shown interest in the talent show. We are awaiting approval to
engage other probable sponsors’ like, Open Gate FM, Step TV and Radio,
Coca Cola, Financial institutions, Mobile companies
NB: The main objective here is to have a standard function at minimal cost
for the University campus or at no cost at all. The funding concept is
essentially to bring on board as many stakeholders as possible to help fund
the show. The major constraint here will be the time frame within which to
reach out to the probable sponsors.
Media Partners: The publicity of the event would be chiefly handled by the
television channels and radio stations within the region.
