PREAMBLE

We, the members of this group, in order to promote and encourage our friendship, do ordain
and establish this constitution for the government of it.

Article 1: Name
The name of this group shall be SPAS UNIQUE WELFARE GROUP, hereafter referred to as SUG.

Article 2: Purpose
The purpose of this SUG shall be;
a) To encourage and strengthen the friendship shared at school through vacations.
b) To help a friend when in need.
c) Helping the privileged through charity works
d) To strengthen our spiritual life.
e) To encourage the youth to advocate in religious vacation.

Article 3: Membership
The legal requirements of membership are:
a) The member must have been a classmate in any of the four forms of the 2017 Mlare
seminary graduates.
b) Staff members and priests are allowed to join.

NOTE: “Membership shall be open to all people satisfying the requirements, regardless
of age, race, color, sex, national origin, or status as a veteran. This list is not exhaustive”.

Article 4
SECTION 1

SUG members will actively participate daily in the WhatsApp group named SPAS UNIQUE
CLASS.
SECTION 2

A majority of the Board shall constitute a quorum to issue any decision. A majority of those
voting shall constitute an affirmative vote of the Board. Each Officer shall be entitled to one
vote and the vote of the majority of the Board at any meeting at which there is a quorum shall
be sufficient to issue a decision.

Article 5
SECTION 1

The organization shall have the following officers:


1. CHAIRMAN/CHAIRLADY
2. TREASURE
3. SECRETARIES

1. Any SUG member is capable of being voted into office.


2. The member must have successfully participated in the monthly contribution.
SECTION 2

1. CHAIRMAN/CHAIRLADY
 Ensure that the board is effective in its task of setting and implementing the company's
direction and strategy

2. TREASURE

Manage or oversee the management of the financial affairs of SUG, often including such
basic tasks as

 Selecting a bank,
 Reconciling bank statements,
 Monthly contribution collection,
 Managing cash flow.

3. SECRETARIES

 typing, preparing and collating reports


 filing
 organizing and servicing meetings (producing agendas and taking minutes)
 managing databases
 prioritizing workloads
 implementing new procedures and administrative systems
 logging or processing bills or expenses
SECTION 3

A person is eligible to hold an office for 3 years

Article 6
SECTION 1

SUG elections must take place at least once in three years.


General Rules of election

1. The winners of the elections for representatives shall be determined by plurality vote.
No member, however, shall be elected as Chairman/Chairlady unless he or she receives
the vote of ten percent (10%).
