Diaphragm Wall Cladding at Basement

Scope of Works (Supply and Installation)

>>> Includes installation of Dry Wall Cladding to items and treatment of Diaphragm wall, including setting of metal studs,
installation of aluminum louver, application of sealant and surface preparation(sealers, fillers, and jointing)
>>> Type of Diaphragm wall cladding system required for the project
>>> Dry wall treatment system, fiber cement board enclosure intended for the project.
>>> Provide for the following Diaphragm wall cladding system but not limited to the following items:
>>> Common Area
a. Basement Area
i. Beam to Curb connection
ii. Slab Soffit to Curb connection
b. And others items directed by the Architect to be provided with Diaphragm wall cladding system.
>>> Submit manufacturer's complete technical information including basic material analysis and Installation instructions
for dry wall material specified.
>>> Submit samples for review of specification only. Provide a list of material and installation for the dry wall system
>>> Provide treatment of gap, holes and other necessary fixings compatible with the manufacturer's dry wall material .
>>> Use only type of bolt, screw and fasten ( flat screw intended for the project) recommended by the manufacturer
and only within recommended limits.
>>> Provide adequate Scaffolding System for the High elevation less than 4 meters is by Subcontractor to ensure
accomplishment (above 4 meter high by Contractor).

Delivery, storage & handling:


>>> Deliver materials to job site in the manufacturer's original,new, unopened package bearing manufacturer's name and
label and the following information.
Name or title of material.
Federal specifications number, if applicable
Manufacturer's name, stock number and date of manufacture
Installation instructions
Handling instructions and precautions
Unloading and distributing materials and equipment for the specific work around the site will be undertaken by the
Sub-Contractor

Warranty :
>>> Submit warranty signed by manufacturer and Installer, agreeing to repair of the dry wall system which peels and deteriorates
excessively or w/c breaks its bond or otherwise fails to perform as required, due to failure materials or workmanship.
Warranty in years after date of Substantial Completion.
Dry Wall system Materials:
>>> Fillers/ Putty-provide factory block filler materials for coarse surfaces that are compatible with the fiber cement
materials indicated.
>>> Sealant - provide the recommended materials compatible with substrate material indicated
>>> Jointing - provide recommended jointing materials, compatible with the fiber cement materials indicated
>>> Dry wall Finish System - shall be painted by others indicating approved coating system acceptable to the Architect

Preparation/ Installation:
>>> Mark out the starting line, this is to ensure starting line and level as per approved shop drawings. Starting line should be
marked on end wall or column, slab soffit and floor slab. Opening locations should be mark out
>>> Install top track this is ensure evenness of slab soffit before installation. Tracks should be fastened to structural elements
by using anchor bolt or fastener
>>> Installation of bottom track, floor is to be levelled before starting the activity. Tracks should be fastened to structural elements
by using anchor bolt or fastener. Joints in the tracks shall be butt jointed
>>> Installation of starter and intermediate studs, to ensure verticality of the end wall use a spirit level or laser marker. Gap to
be allocated at top track to allow for deflection of top slab. Place studs in direct contact with abutting partititons,
partition corners/edges, and existing construction elements
>>> Check overall verticality of studs
>>> Horizontal bracing for all stud partitions to be as per manufacturer's recommendation and provide all braced framing
as detailed in the approved shop drawings
>>> Provide openings on drywall for louver and vents, such openings are usually reinforced by the introduction of box
stud to stiffen the opening
>>> The overall framing installation is heavily dependent on board dimension and type of board layout, identify and
calcualte area and layout of board to be installed
>>> Frame spacing to be in accrodance to board dimension and layout
>>> Use proper tools such as T square and cutiing knife to cut boards
>>> Ensure board installation sequence as per method statement, start in center and place smaller boards at sides or edge
>>> Secure board by using bolts, screws and/or fastens as per recommnded by the manufacturer
>>> Ensure securing process of the board onto the vertical stud does not cause tilting of flange
>>> Seal all perimeter gap of the wall frame system with relevant material from approve method statement,
material and sample
>>> All infill materials as per method statement and material
>>> Control joint to be provided in long continuous walls and for panels of different materials
>>> proper use of jointing tape as per approve method statement and material submission

Cleaning:
>>> At the end of each work day, remove empty sack, rags, rubbish, and other discarded dry wall materials from site.
>>> Upon completion of dry wall, clean the floor surfaces, using care not to scratch or damage adjacent finished surfaces.
Protection :
>>> Protect work from other trades, whether to be installed or not,against damage by any work. Correct damage by cleaning
repairing or replacing as acceptable by Architect.
>>> Provide signages to protect newly installed materials. Remove temporary protective wrappings provided by others for
protection of their work after completion of dry wall operations.
