IMAT Exam:
IMAT is an entrance exam conducte,ad by n government of Italy for admissions to Medicine
courses throughout the country.
Structure: 60 Multiple choice questions (20 critical thinking, 2 culture,18 biology, 12 chemistry,
a8 physics and math). 5 possible answers. Negative points for wrong answer. 100 minutes to
solve

Scoring:
- Negative scoring: +1.5 point for correct answer, 0 for no answer, -0,4 points for wrong
answer (guessing)
- No calculators, no periodic table are given or allowed
- Maximum possible mark 90 points
- Minimal score for admission (varies according to demand): approx. 37 points

Fees and Living EXPENSES:

Fees can range from neglible (€150) to about €21,000. But it is highly likely that fees will be
waived because Italian universities are government funded.
Living expenses can be rounded off to €500 a month including accommodation in a shared
apartment, food, transportation and miscellaneous.
Thanks to programs like DSU and ISEE Universitario, scholarships upto or more than €5000 a
year and full fee reduction can be obtained fairly easily. Moreover universities provide part time
opportunities in University itself. HOWEVER, WORKING PART TIME OUTSIDE IS DIFFICULT
AS ITALIAN IS THE MOST PREVELANT z xxs,xd,zz2*:hiLANGUAGEH SPEAKING
POPULATION IS VERY LESS.

recognized, no matter if the graduate holds a European citizenship or not. That means that
there were no additional medical knowledge tests on the way to obtaining an MD license in an
EU member state and the primary demand was to demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of the
