Objective of this Course:

The aim of this subject is to develop students’ understanding of the concepts of Human Resources Management in
the organization. In particular the subject is designed to develop the underpinning knowledge to understand the
Human Resources management issues i.e Recruitment & Selection, Performance appraisal, job analysis, Training
and Development, Compensation, Industrial Relations and its importance.
The students on completion of the course shall develop the following skills and competencies:

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

 Develop the knowledge, skills and concepts needed to resolve actual human resource
management problems or issues.
 Manage the employment relationship, which is a shared responsibility between employers,
management, human resources specialists, and employees.
 Identify the human resources needs of an organization or department.
 Conduct a job analysis and produce a job description from the job analysis.
 Evaluate the procedures and practices used for recruiting and selecting suitable employees.
 Assess training requirements and design a successful orientation and training program.
