RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design

Descriptive quantitative research will be used in this study. It seeks to

describe the current status of a variable or phenomenon, it does not begin with a

hypothesis but typically develops one after the data is collected. This data is

observational in nature.

Research Environment

This study will be performed at University of Southern Philippines

Foundation, which is geographically located in the Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu

City .It is a progressive school which contains students with professionalism,

integrity, excellence and social responsive. The school is a private, foundation,

non-stock and non-profit institution that give quality education to more than 8000

individuals both local and international students.

Research Respondents

The study will employ stratified sampling in getting the respondents

within the stem-A senior high school students in the premises of the university . A
total of 50 students will serve as the respondents of the research study.

The other students who are not a respondents are excluded as they
might affect the gathering of data.
Research Instruments

In order to get the data needed , the researchers will have

questionnaires about the level of intensity of stem-A senior high school in the
university in regards to their academic and extracurricular performances in
correlating their school performances and grades. This will help to distinguish the
intensity of effort exerted by the students to their academic and extracurricular
performances.

Research Procedures

Choosing of Participants

The chosen students/teenagers that are taken as participants of the

research study will be giving a brief and concise background information about

the research study . The personal information of the participants will be

confidential to avoid any form of detriment. The participants must urge

willingness to participate the study.

 Filing of Approval

The researchers will proposed Transmittal Letter to the principal and to the

subject teacher to adhere legalization of conducting the research study. Upon

approval of permission, the researchers will proceeds to their research study.

 Accumulation of Data

For this research study , the range of time allotted is approximately two

weeks for accumulating the needed data and information. The research will

gathered data on the different factors and lifestyle of the teenagers that are

needed to the study. On the set day of conducting the research study, the

participants will be given 20 minutes to answer the In-depth interview that will

be using audio recorded for more coherent response . The gathered data

analysis that has been collected will be evaluated and self-administered by the

researchers itself . Yet, the evaluation of analysis will be used to answer the

subsidiary problems and research problem. Taking pictures will also presented

and this documentation will be taken during the actual sessions.
