#1 Poll Everywhere-

Poll Everywhere is best described as a web 2.0 tool that is able to be used to get a response from
anyone who creates a poll.

It can be used by teacher to ask questions in class or start class with a poll or even outside of class. The
student would join the code and be able to respond to the teacher’s question. This helps the teacher get
an idea of what are students are thinking.

This tool can be used by the student to respond to the tool or even create their own for a project they
may have.

Advantages: making students engage with teacher as well as other students in an in class discussion or
outside of the classroom

#2 Animoto-

Animoto is a Web 2.0 tool that is used to create videos to be presented. This tool is a good way to get
creative in the classroom by using videos to teach a lesson for that day.

It can be used by the teacher to make learning more fun in the classroom. Teachers can create a video
to teach the lesson.

The student can use Animoto to create a project or report for the teacher. Instead of making a poster or
a power point presentation, the student can create a video.

Advantages of Animoto are making learning fun, it is easy to access and easy to upload videos and make
projects.

#3 Diigo-

Diigo is used to store links, resources, websites, blogs and more.

Diigo can be used by teachers to store links to different homework assignments or websites that may
lead to articles or online databases used in the classroom.

Students are able to access Diigo and store different links or resources they may need to access as well
as be able to access whatever the teacher has uploaded on to her Diigo account.

Advantages of Diigo are keeping important things in a safe place online. Being able to always access the
different resources the teacher has provided.

#4 Conceptboard-

Conceptboard is a digital whiteboard, it can be used to teach lessons digitally but in the looks of a
whiteboard. I think this Web tool would be used best if used on something with a touchscreen, however
I used my laptop to write on it and it was still easy to work.

This can be used by the teacher to teach lessons and then share the lessons. I think it is a good tool for
the teacher to use because if there was ever an instance where a parent wanted to know how they can
help their child at home, the teacher would be able to share the lesson on the digital whiteboard.

The student can use this tool by responding to questions the teacher puts on the conceptboard. In a
technology based classroom where the student has access to this tool with an iPad or laptop, I think this
tool would work best.

Advantages of this tool, if the teacher does not have a smart board in his or her classroom, this is a great
free tool to access. It can make learning fun in the classroom.

Blogger is best described as a way to communicate with teachers and students.

Blogger can be used by teachers to keep up with the students and send out reminders. The teacher can
upload assignments or be able to send out schedule reminders. The teacher can also have the parent
access the blog and the parent can follow with what it is being assigned.

Students can use this tool to give feedback to the teacher as well as use blogger as another way to
present projects. Blogger can change up the way presentations can be made.

Advantages of Blogger are being able to have the parent keep up with what is going on in the classroom
as well as for the student to be able to receive reminders or assignments.
