MADAME X

I – THE MAD DONNA

THE MAD DONNA

THAT IS WHAT SHE IS

IN YOUR EYES

BUT IN THE MIRROR

WHEN SHE LOOKS AT HERSELF

SHE SEES A QUEEN

THE MAD DONNA

THAT IS WHAT SHE IS

ACCORDING TO THE TALES YOU HEAR

THE MAD DONNA

THAT IS WHAT SHE IS

BUT NEVER WILL BE

THERE IS NO MORE TITLE

WHEN THERE ARE NO MORE PEOPLE

WHO’D CALL HER AS

THE MAD DONNA

ONCE THE QUEEN

MAKES HER MOVE

THE PEOPLE WILL BE LIBERATED

AND SO SHALL THE TALE

OF THE MAD DONNA

II – THE IRON LADY

CRY

WAIL

SCREAM

WHERE DOES THAT BRING YOU?

NOWHERE.

TEARS.

WORDS.

AGONY.

WHAT DOES THAT BRING YOU?

NOTHING.
CLEMENCY BRINGS YOU PEACE

BUT IT FAVORS THE SINNER

THE KILLER

THE MURDERER

THE RAPIST

THE PREDATOR

THE DEVIL

III – THE MOTHER

THE WORLD HAS TAKEN BENEVOLENCE AND MERCY FOR GRANTED

IT HAS GOTTEN USED TO IT AND HAVE FORGOTTEN OF THE BLIND LADY

IN THE END,

MOTHER MERCY

YOU ARE

LADY LUSTITIA’S

GREATEST ENEMY

AND WHOMEVER IS LUSTITIA’S ENEMY

IS A THREAT TO HUMANITY

BECAUSE EVEN IN POEMS

THERE IS BUT SENSE OF JUSTICE.

IV – THE QUEEN

You serve justice

You break chains

You bring liberation

Yet you show no mercy

To those who wronged you

V – THE GODDESS

What you are

that is

what I had not seen

My eyes had shown me

the image of beauty

the tears of mercy

the veil of grace

the dresses you wore

A goddess

Are you?

Drenched in blood

you sat on your throne

Drowned in tears

You picked up your crown

How can you shed a drop of clemency

When your world turned out to be not-so heavenly

How are you beautiful

when your body and soul are being torn apart til you lose control

How can you be a goddess

When you hear prayers that are but godless

VI – SHARAZAD

You have told a thousand tales

Your life have been spared

Because of your tales

You have spoken untold legends

You have introduced the different people of your world

You have pleased countless ears

Yet a cloud of mystery shrouds you

When shall you lift the veil

And speak of the story

of your life

the woman behind the burqa

whom got chosen by the sultan

for her thousand stories.

VII - A ROSE KISSED BY FROST

You will never be enough

says the woman who conceived

the man I love the most

Under the light of the silver sickle

and the twinkle of a thousand stars

I will never be enough.

Billions of units of time perished

did my heart just cease to beat

to the words my ears have had just heard

With all those nights, drenched in sweat

embraced by the warm breeze

You chose to remain silent.

My soul just got stripped from my body

To be referred to as someone’s nobody

Am I not as precious as your gold?

But what was said is done

we have moved on

let bygones be bygones

Yet here we are, anew

You’ve found someone new

Am I not enough for you?

Maybe she was indeed right

I will never be enough for you

because you are one thirsty soul

Love is not what you need

I am terribly sorry

I am not enough for thee.

I shall move on , walk away

let your next come to the light

I am not a gold, just another body spent for the night

a flower that was picked

then left in the wilderness to wither

a rose kissed by frost

left in the snow to wilt
