Advertisement for the post of Project Staff/JRF (Physics)

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for Project Fellow/JRF as per the details given
below, (for research projects, under the principal investigator Dr. Neeraj Shukla, Assistant
Professor, Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Patna).
1. Title of the Project: Exploring Ferromagnetism in carbon based and other 2D
Materials using Micro-beam

2. Funding Agency UGC DAE CSR Indore, M.P.

3. Project Position & Number: Project Fellow/JRF (1)

4. Qualifications: First Class in M.Sc. Physics (Essential)
NET/GATE/JEST qualified (Desirable)
5. Emoluments: Rs. 14,000/-per month (Plus 16% HRA)**
6. Duration: 1 year (further extendable upto project tenure
subject to satisfactory performance )
7. Job Description: Pursuing research & possible registration for
Ph.D., subject to clearing of Institute requirements

Important:
A. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the
position they intend to apply.
Candidates shall bring along with them the original certificates at the time of interview for
verification.
B. Initial appointment shall be for one year, which may be extended subject to satisfactory
performance annually, till project is in force. Candidate selected for this position can also apply
for the regular PhD program provided the candidate satisfies the eligibility criterion for PhD
program in NIT Patna.
C. PI reserves the right to terminate the services of project staff, if work is found to be
unsatisfactory during the course of project.
D. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

** If selected student has M.Sc. with Gate/NET qualification, then project Associate-1 may
be given (@ 25000/-pm)+ HRA only after approval from the centre director, Indore Centre
(funding agency).
