Reading Day 19
Empowerment Technologies

Web content development is the procedure of researching & gathering valuable information,
defining objectives, finding & evaluating keywords to be used & organizing the structure for
writing & finally publishing a content.

Undoubtedly, in the world of Internet and web development, content is the king. Content is the
medium through which you can provide interesting and valuable information to your audience.
By providing well-optimized information, your content becomes visible by search engines,
increases ranking results and therefore it is easily found and read.

How to create a valuable web-content

1. Defining Objectives
You must specify the main goal that needs to be promoted through your content
(blog post, article, image, video or other interactive forms). If the content to be
developed refers to a website, then define the pages of your website that need to be
optimized. It is really important and take it into serious consideration, that each
page of the website needs

2. Research and analyze

Specify your competitors & extract information from competitors’ sources,
regarding the subject you want to write about. Gather as much information as you
can! The initial research will help you significantly find ideas concerning which
keywords to use when developing your content.

3. Organize the structure of your article

Give an overview of the topic. Help your reader understand what the topic is all about,
and what are supposed to be known by your readers. Focus on the positive impact of the
topic.

4. Summarize and Proofread

Create a summary of all the information that you have gathered, and analyzed.
Identify commonalities of information and a good flow of story/topic. Ensure that
you establish relationship from one sentence to the next sentence. Ensure that your
article is free of typographical errors and misleading grammar.

Three rules for creating quality content:

1. Informative: The content should provide valuable and useful information to
the reader. It should teach them at least one or two things or answer at least
one question they have. This can be adjusted depending on where the
content will be published (such as a blog, website, add or social media) and
what the main purpose of the content is.
2. Interesting: While information is a key factor in great content, information
alone won't do the trick. You have to keep in mind that real people are
reading this content, so it has to be interesting; the content needs to catch
and keep their attention from the title to the last period. Things like facts,
statistics, metaphors, analogies and funny anecdotes are all great ways to
keep people interested in what they're reading.

3. Relevant: The final rule for creating great content is also one of the most
important. Relevance applies to a few different things: The content must be
relevant to the niche, business, or company that it's being written about. In
addition to this, it must also be relevant to the audience it's being written for.
Knowing your target audience is important, but ensuring the content you're
writing is relevant to that audience is even more important. Writing properly
relevant content comes from doing research: Knowing enough about the
subject of your content and who it is being written for to make it relevant to
both. This is another thing that is going to keep your readers interested and
wanting to read more.
