5 Network

3.5.1. Virtual Box

In making sever we use virtual box as server so make sure apalikasi virtual box is

installed in computer.

What we use is the linux version of debian 8.5

• first open the virtual box

after entering the virtual box select "new / new" to start the installation process "debian

8.5"

• then specify-name: debian8.5

-type: linux

-version: debian

• then press "go"

• Just go on click >> create

• Select VDI (VIRTUAL DISK IMAGE) then "go"

• Storage on harddisk just press "go"

• In multiplication memory size change 512 mb to 1024 mb and then press go

• In partition making partition capacity of 10 GB

• After the server is created its display below

• Select a setting

• Click the cassette image of the contents is still empty so it needs to be filled

• Click the cassette image on the side to locate the debian dvd 8.5 installation tape

• locate the debian file 8.5 dvd 1> then kilk then select> open

• the display will look like below.

• then select> network

• check on> enable network adapter

• in this section first select "host only adapter" then in the promsocus mode change to:

allow all. And make sure the cables are connected> check mark

• then press> ok

• After setting up we will run the server virtual boxnya> click the green arrow >> green

on top

• Click >> install and then enter

Nb: on debian linux installation using full keyboard so mouse is not in use

• Select "English" then enter

• select other >> enter

• select "Asia" then enter

• select "INDONESIA" then enter

• select "united states - en_US.UTF-8"

• select "American english"

• wait for installation process >> to finish

• select configure of network options select >> "do not configure the network at this

time"

• Rename hostname "debian"> hostname name can use anything up to us "so we use only

ns1"

Nb: hostname can use any name as desired

• We use password: 123456 then click continue

nb "for the password can use anything important do not forget"

• Re-enter password: 123456 for verification

• Enter username using "tkjclub" then> press tab> continue

Nb: same as password fulname also can use other name

• Enter password: 123456 then> press tab> click continue enter

• Enter password again for verification: 123456 then> press tab click continue then enter

• Configure the clock select the second or the middle and press enter "central (sulawesi,

bali, nusa,

• Partition disk select: "Manual" then enter

• Partition disk select: SCSI3 (0,0,0) (sda) -10.7 GB ATA VBOX HARDDISK then enter

• In this option select choose "yes" then enter

• We go into creating disk partitions;

Boot >>> 1 gb

Swap >>> 2 gb

Root >>> 5 gb

Home >> left partition

To create a partition we select free space hit enter

• Select create a new partition and press enter

• Resize the partition to "1 gb" because the first partition we created is / boot when it

press enter

>> Being

• Select primary press enter

• Then select Beginning

• Click on mount point

• Select / boot

• Then click bootable flag: off

• then select done setting up the partition

• create a second partition that is / swap

click free space

• select create a new partition

• resize the partition to "2 GB"

Become >> then press tab >> select continue enter

• click "logical"

• then click >> beginning

• click >> use as

• select "swap area"

• click >> done setting up partition

• then we create a third partition that is / root

klil >> free space

• click create a new parrtition

• resize partition to "5 GB"

then >> select then continue tab enter

• then kli >> logical

• then click >> beginning

• on this option just click >> mount point select >> / root

• click / -the root file system then enter

• Then select "dont setting up the partition"

• Then click free space

to create the 4th or the last partition that is / home

• Click "create a new partition"

• Simply press >> tab then click continue

• Click >> logical

• Just click >> done setting up the partition

• Click >> finish partition and write changes to disk

• Select "yes"

• Wait for the installation process is complete

•Scan another CD or DVD select "no"

• Use a network mirror choose "no"

• Wait for the installation process is complete

• Select "no"

• Delete existing stars using "spaces"

• "After deleted an asterisk on"

* -STANDARD SYSTEM UTILITIES

Then tab then click continue

• Wait until the installation process is complete

• Select "yes" to install group loader

• Click on the second option ie / dev / sda (ata-VBOX_HARDDISK_Vbe18731d7-

998d6402) and press enter

• Then Select "continue"

• The installation process has been completed

We are recommended "login"

• NS1 login: root

Password: 123456

Debian password is no display but read sure and believe that his password is legible

4.1. Conclusion

From the experience I get during PRACTICE I have a lot of lessons that I get from;

That the world of business is more difficult than what we imagine, of course with this we

must improve the quality of ourselves in the field or our respective majors, so that when

we have finished school or graduated later we certainly have really ready to go into the

world of business with provision of more than enough, and also to increase the quality of

education in Indonesia to be more daring to compete with foreign industries.

In addition, living as a boarding children without the supervision of parents gave me a

lesson that we should really be able to keep themselves and try to live with society by

maintaining morals and social.

During the implementation of Industrial Practice (Prakerin), the authors can conclude

that:

1. Successful implementation of this prakerin is determined by good interaction between

prakerin executor with instructor / guidance prakerin running well / smoothly.

2. After carrying out industrial work practices (prakerin) from 27December 2016 to 27th

March 2017 and briefing given by produtive teachers, which is unknown and not yet

studied in schools encountered during prakerin.

3. Work Practice This industry is a learning activity to know how the condition later if

had entered into the actual work environment.

4.2. Suggestion
1. Students prakerin participants then need to be placed in places in accordance with the

department in order to further explore and increase knowledge insight from the prakerin

place.

2. Schools should pay more attention to students who are carrying out prakerin, in the

implementation and in terms of concerned with the company being occupied.

3. It may be more if the implementation of prakerin prepared in advance with mature not

sudden, for the smooth activities prakerin.
