Rotation: Clockwise.
Governor type: Mechanical all-speed with Droop Feature.
Gov. Link Length: 10.3 ± 0.2 mm.
Governor spring position : 5.
Plunger Diameter: 7.0 mm (4 off).
Drive Type: Uprated with supported shaft.
Advance Type: Light Load.
Adjusting plate max. fuel delivery control.
Solenoid voltage: See Service Instruction Note DT294.

ISO TEST CONDITIONS.

This data is only valid for the test conditions specified and the
following test benches: HA3000/HA2500/HA700/AVM/PGM.
Test Fluid: ISO 4113 at 40 ± 2°C.
Inlet feed pressure: 0.3 bar.
Backleak pressure: 0 bar.
Nozzles: BDL0S6889 (YDB287).
Nozzle Opening Pressure: 172 + 3 - 0 bar.
Nozzle Holder: ISO 7440 + YDB288 Edge filter assy.
H.P. pipes: 6 x 1.8 x 450 mm.

PRE-TEST NOTES
Screw Metering Valve Droop Adjuster fully in & then out 1.5
turns.
Lock throttle lever in the fully open position.
Fit throttle actuator tool YDT265.
Adjust Light Load Advance by shim (0.5 to 3.5 mm total).

ISO TEST PROCEDURE

1. Priming (C) 200 Obtain delivery from all injectors
and backleak.
2. Stabilisation (C) 750 Run pump for 3 minutes to stabilise.
Cycle pump between 750 rpm and 800 rpm 5 times
(to remove air from Governor unit).
3. Delivery S/C 750 121.0 ± 1.0 mm3/st.
4. Transfer Press. (C) 100 Minimum 0.7 bar, ( 10psi).
5. Transfer Press. (S) 750 4.9 to 5.6 bar( 71 to 81 psi).
6. Backleakage (C) 750 33 to 87 cm3 per 100 strokes.
Flow rate 250 to 650 cm3/min.
7. Delivery (S) 750 121.0 ± 0.5 mm3/st.
Stop test machine.
Remove pressure gauges and fit stop solenoid or plug.

50Hz Governor settings/checks only, tests 8 to 15 .

8. Delivery (C) 750 As test ( 7) ± 0.5 mm3/st.
9. Governor (S) 790 10.0 to 20.0 mm3/st.
Run test machine down to 750 rpm.
10. Delivery (C) 770 78.0 to 98.0 mm3/st.
If high wind droop adjuster in, if low wind droop adjuster out.
11. Delivery (C) 790 5.0 to 15.0 mm3/st.
If incorrect or adjusted, stop machine and repeat from test (8 ).
12. Gov. cut-off (C) 820 Maximum 5.0 mm3/st.
If incorrect reset droop adjuster to pre-test notes and repeat
from test (8 ).
13. Delivery (C) 750 As test ( 8) ± 0.5 mm3/st.
If incorrect reset droop adjuster to pre-test notes and repeat
from test (8 ).
14. Advance - (S) 750 0.8to 1.2° 40.0to 58.0mm3/st
Light load Adjust throttle actuator tool
& shim as required.
15. Advance - (S) 750 3.3to 3.7° 20.0to 49.0mm3/st
Light load Adjust throttle actuator tool
& shim as required.
If adjusted repeat from test (14).

60Hz Governor settings/checks only, tests 16 to 19 .

16. Delivery (C) 900 111 to 131 mm3/st.

17. Governor (S) 945 10.0 to 20.0 mm3/st.
Run test machine down to 900 rpm.
18. Delivery (C) 925 96.0 to 106.0 mm3/st.
If high wind droop adjuster in, if low wind droop adjuster out.
If incorrect or adjusted, stop machine and repeat from test (16).
19. Gov. cut-off (C) 960 Maximum 5.0 mm3/st.
If incorrect reset droop adjuster to pre-test notes and repeat
from test (16).
20. Delivery (C) 900 As test (16) ± 1.0 mm3/st.
21. Shut-off (C) 200 De-energise solenoid, wait 5 seconds.
Solenoid Maximum 2.0 mm3/st.
Stop test machine.
22. Delivery (C) 150 Minimum 45.0 mm3/st.
23. Timing S/C Outlet 'U ', Pressure 55 bar
Indexing tool at 113.0°, Scribe line.
Depressurise. Rotate drive 172.0° to
pos'n 285.0°. Slide washer and torque
shaft locking screw to 17.0 Nm.

The Overcheck section of this plan has been developed in
conjunction with the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Providing all values are achieved, the pump settings will
maintain the original homologated engine performance. Failure to
attain any one of the values will indicate a pump setting or
function failure and require further investigation.

ISO OVERCHECK PROCEDURE
24. Timing S/C For validation:
Indexing tool set to 285.0 ± 0.5°
25. Priming (C) 200 Obtain delivery from all injectors
and backleak.
Cycle pump between 750 rpm and 800 rpm 5 times
(to remove air from Governor unit).
26. Shut-off (C) 200 De-energise solenoid, wait 5 seconds.
Solenoid Maximum 2.0 mm3/st.
Stop test machine.
27. Delivery (C) 150 Minimum 40.0 mm3/st.
28. Stabilisation (C) 750 Run pump for 3 minutes to stabilise.

29. Delivery (C) 750 119 to 123 mm3/st.
30. Delivery (C) 775 70.0 to 85.0 mm3/st.
