1. About Business Law Course


This course introduces the legal framework of business. Emphasis is on Contracts Laws and
Company Laws. The course intents to facilitate the student to gain knowledge of the legal
environment and various statutes relevant to the business environment.

2. Course Learning Objectives


i. To acquaint the student with the legal environment and various statutes, which are to be
observed in performing the day-to-day business.
ii. Our graduates will be able to evaluate various alternatives and arrive at the best possible
solution for a given problem. (1c)

Group Assignment - Comprehensive project (15 marks)
a. Module 1: - Group will be formed, and they should present a real case on PIL. (10
marks)
b. Module IV and V; - The title and guidelines for preparation and presentation of the
assignment will be discussed in the class. They need to make a written submission /
make a presentation in the class

Class Participation (15marks)


Students are required to maintain a class diary. The daily reflections and further reading based
on the discussions in the classes are to be updated into this diary. This diary will be also being
evaluated for awarding class participation. (Content related to Module II and Module III)

Individual Assignment (15 marks)


a. Module II and III; - The title and guidelines for preparation and presentation of the
assignment will be discussed in the class. They need to make a written submission
/make a presentation in the class
