GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY


OCTOBER 28, 2019 – NOVEMBER 3, 2019

On Monday, October 28, Deputy V. Everett took a report of a vehicle burglary that
occurred on Pompano Street Highland View. The victim reported U.S. Currency stolen
from the vehicle. Forced entry was not used to burglarize the vehicles. A suspect has
been developed as the case remains under investigation.

On Monday, October 28, the GCSO travelled to the Florida State Prison to pick up Dylan
Coy Jackson (26) and transport him to the Gulf County Detention Facility to be booked on
a warrant for failing to appear in court. Jackson failed to appear on a charge of Aggravated
Battery on a Pregnant Person and Child Abuse.

On Tuesday, October 29, Deputy M. Manley took a report of a vehicle burglary that
occurred on Marlin Street in Highland View. The victim did not report anything missing
but did capture a suspect on video surveillance enter his car and rummage around inside.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect.

On Wednesday, October 30, Deputy P. Young arrested Cody Lane Cambell (25) on Hwy 98
in Port St. Joe on a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges for Possession of
Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug of Paraphernalia and driving with a suspended
drivers license.

On Wednesday, October 30, Deputy Alday conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 71 near the
intersection of Chipola Avenue. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Alday
revealed that the vehicle displayed a registration plate that was registered to another
vehicle and that the vehicle he had stopped was not registered. The driver and sole
occupant of the vehicle was identified as Christopher Warnell Allen Hysmith (23). Hysmith
was placed under arrest for Attaching Tag Not Assigned and driving an unregistered
vehicle. Hysmith was also issued a citation for not having vehicle insurance.

On Wednesday, October 30, Deputy D. Goodman stopped a vehicle on Hwy 386 near
Sunshine Road for passing a stopped school bus while it was unloading children. The
driver, who was identified as William Edward Linton (70), did not have a valid driver’s
license. Linton was placed under arrest for knowingly driving with a suspended driver’s
license and was issued a citation for passing a stopped school bus.

On Thursday, October 31, Deputy B. McCorvey arrested Amanda Lee Shipman (29) on
Hwy 71 near Kate Glass Road on a warrant for Petit Theft. The warrant stemmed from a
Port St. Joe Police investigation.

On Friday, November 1, the GCSO traveled to the Calhoun County Jail to pick up Cody
Allen Skipper (34) and transport him to the Gulf County Detention Facility to be booked
on a warrant for Violation of Community Control Probation. Skipper was on probation for
Possession for Methamphetamine, Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, DWLSR and
Counterfeit License Plate.

On Saturday, November 2, Deputy M. Peek arrested Paul Jock Causey (36) on a Gulf
County warrant for Petit Theft and Criminal Mischief. Deputy M. Manley obtained the
warrant after catching Causey riding a bicycle that was stolen from a burglary he was
investigating. The bicycle had been painted to conceal the identifying features about the
bicycle. Causey, who knew the bicycle was stolen, could not be directly linked to the
burglary at this time.
