What is The Purpose Linkedin is meant for Social Networking. It is very
similar to other social networking sites such as
of Linkedin? Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. According to
Johnson (2019), “like other social network, it’s owned
by a big tech company: Microsoft” (para.1). The main
purpose for Linkedin is meant for individuals to utilize
this social networking site as well as business.

Personal Profiles are built to be used as your resume. Once you
build your account, your profile has features which you input your
experience along with other information used on your resume. Three Popular
Features
Certain companies can search for candidates. Based on people's
profiles linked with specific skill sets this helps the companies
locate people perfect for the position.

Save Searches. When searching for jobs or people and you have
found some you do not want to forget, Linkedin could save a
certain amount of searches.

looking to build their professional life.

can better their chances of obtaining a job they are desiring.
Another reason we should care about Linkedin is because this is a
site where individuals can keep up with businesses and even take
courses to continue education for their career.

 We can follow certain people who know people in a certain


career field and that could help your chances at getting a job. WHY MIGHT

 If you are an entrepreneur, you would want to adopt this for your

I would use Linkedin. The reason I would use Linkedin is because my
future teaching career could benefit from it. I have learned how to follow
certain companies such as school districts and the Department of
Education. Staying up to date with education around the world will
WOULD I USE better my knowledge of changes in school and or curriculum.

 To the right is a comparison chart I put together with
information found on 99 Firms.com. The chart represents
a small piece of information regarding Linkedin,
Facebook and Twitter. Linkedin is more of a professional
site so most of the users do not spend too much time on
their profile. There are plenty of differences between the

context and keeping everyone socially connected.
 Linkedin was founded in co-founder Reid Hoffman’s
