Making your teeth whiter

With Banana Peel

Having a good smile with white teeth, become one of the things that people
wanted to achieve nowadays. Base on our research some toothpaste aren’t
affordable at the same time it is not effective , now because of banana peel
that contains some effective things to whiten and make our teeth stronger
we have a idea that we can use this. Our Purpose is to make teeth stronger
and whitener in affordable way for everyone.

A. Background of the study

Bananas are nutritious. One medium banana contains 422 milligrams of
potassium, 32 mg of magnesium and 3 grams of fiber, according to the
National Nutrient Database from the United States Department of
Agriculture.
The amount of minerals in bananas and their peels has led some people to
think the peel can whiten teeth. The claim is that all you need to do is rub
the inside of the peel on your teeth for a couple of minutes before or after
you brush them. Supporters claim that after rubbing your teeth with the peel
daily for about two or three weeks, you should have a whiter smile.

B. Statement of the Problem

We make this Project to help the other people that wanted their teeth to
become whiter but they can’t afford expensive teeth whitener products.

C. Scope and Delimitation

What are the other alternatives that we can do on that banana peels aside
from making it as fertilizer?

D. Significance of the Study

Base on our knowledge, the magnesium and potassium that are on the
table of elements, gives vitamins on our tooth. We think that if potassium
and magnesium gives vitamins on our tooth, it is possible that it can whiten
our tooth

Chapter II
The Benefits of the banana peel to whiten our teeth is to make some
people save more by using it and not buying the expensive teeth whitener.
We also think that it may help to reduce money problem. It may also help to
some man, to have nice teeth to make the girls attract to them.
Review Related Literature
If this exactly work, we can assure you that banana peel will be helpful not
just in fertilizer but also in making our teeth clean. We can also add this in
our daily activities. Alternative
If the banana peel doesn’t work to whiten our teeth, we can try this to make
our teeth stronger. In Some Researches, some Dentist says that banana
peel is surely works to make our teeth stronger.

Definition of Terms
Banana Peel:
A banana peel is the outer covering of the banana fruit .As bananas, whether
eaten raw or cooked, are a popular fruit consumed worldwide, with yearly
production over 145 million tons in 2011, there is a significant amount of
banana peel waste being generated as well. It has Manganese, Potassium,
and Magnesium.
Manganese:
Manganese is a chemical element, designated by the symbol Mn. It has the
atomic number 25. It is found as a free element in nature (often in
combination with iron), and in many minerals. Manganese is a metal with
important industrial metal alloy uses, particularly in stainless steels.
Potassium:
Potassium is a mineral found in varying amounts in almost all foods. Along
with sodium, chloride, calcium, and magnesium, potassium is an electrolyte,
meaning that it helps to conduct electrical charges in the body. Like all the
other electrolytes, our bodies have evolved elaborate systems to control
blood levels in a narrow range. Magnesium:
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and is essential
to good health. Approximately 50% of total body magnesium is found in
bone. The other half is found predominantly inside cells of body tissues and
organs. Only 1% of magnesium is found in blood, but the body works very
hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant.

Methodology
A. Materials / Equipements
Banana Peel, Toothpaste, Toothbrush and Water
B. Procedures
Brush your teeth as usual with natural toothpaste or you can use the banana
peel first and then brush. Use a ripe banana as it has the most potassium
content in it. Peel from the bottom end as this is how monkeys peel their
bananas and it will keep you from having all those loose threads. Take a
piece of the inside of the banana peel and gently rub around on your teeth
for about 2 minutes. The amazing minerals in the peel like potassium,
magnesium and manganese absorb into your teeth and whiten them. Repeat
the same procedure at night or before bedtime, to whiten teeth. Leaving the
banana peel on longer is optional if you have stains that need to come off.
Does the banana peel routine twice daily to see teeth whiten? Smile and
share your wonderful teeth whitening secret. You don’t have to throw the old
banana peels away, you can recycle them. They make excellent mineral
compost for plants if dried out and ground up and sprinkled on the soil once
a month. Your plants will love you for it!
Glossary
Abundant- existing or available in large quantities; plentiful.
Affordable- inexpensive; reasonably priced.
Alloy- a metal made by combining two or more metallic elements,
especially to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.
Alternatives- one of two or more available possibilities.
Electrolyte- a liquid or gel that contains ions and can be decomposed by
electrolysis, e.g., that present in a battery.
Element- each of more than one hundred substances that cannot be
chemically interconverted or broken down into simpler substances and are
primary constituents of matter. Each element is distinguished by its atomic
number, i.e. the number of protons in the nuclei of its atoms.
Evolved- develop gradually, especially from a simple to a more complex
form.
Expensive- costing a lot of money.
Fertilizer- a chemical or natural substance added to soil or land to increase
its fertility.
Magnesium- the chemical element of atomic number 12, a silver-white
metal of the alkaline earth series. It is used to make strong lightweight
alloys, especially for the aerospace industry, and is also used in flashbulbs
and pyrotechnics because it burns with a brilliant white flame.
Narrow- limited in extent, amount, or scope; restricted.
Peel- remove the outer covering or skin from (a fruit, vegetable, or shrimp).
Potassium- the chemical element of atomic number 19, a soft silvery-white
reactive metal of the alkali metal group.
Predominant- present as the strongest or main element.
