PROJECT : PACIFIC MALL PARKING FACILITY

LOCATION : BARANGAY ALANG-ALANG, MANDAUE CITY


OWNER : BAYAN MOVERS LOGISTICS, INC.

GENERAL SPECIFICATION

I. SITEWORK
Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and other facilities and perform all operations necessary to complete
the preparation of site.
1. Site Preparation
The site shall be leveled according to the plans and cleared of rubbish, roots and other perishable and
objectionable matters to a suitable subgrade.
2. Temporary Site Facilities
The contractor shall provide an office for the following: Construction site office and complete Resident
Architect’s / Engineer’s office for business related to the supervision of the project.
Temporary facilities/utilities are inclusive of power supply, water supply board-ups, site safety signage, fire
protection/extinguishers, telecommunication and other necessary items.
3. Staking Out
The building lines shall be staked out and all lines and grades shown in the drawing shall be established before
any execution is started. Batter boards and referencemarks shall be erected at such places where they will
not be disturbed in the excavation of the building site.
4. Earthwork
Manual excavation to sizes of footing, wall footing and tie beam as indicated in the drawing. In case the soil
condition at the founding level of the footing cannot be ascertained, inquire for an expert or geotechnical
engineer to investigate sub-surface condition.
II. CONCRETE
All concrete must be deposited, vibrated and cured in accordance with ACI standard.
1. Concrete Formworks
Provide forms, shoring, and scaffolding for concrete placement. Set forms mortar-tight and true to line and
grade. Prevent concrete damage during form removal. After placing concrete, forms shall remain in place for
the minimum time periods indicated in the plan.
2. Concrete Reinforcement
Provide bars, wire fabric, wire ties, supports, and other devices necessary to install and secure reinforcement.
Reinforcement shall not contain rust, scale, oil, grease, clay, and foreign substances that would reduce the
bond. All bars shall confirm to ASTMA standards specified in the plan. All bars shall be weldable.
3. Cast-In-Place Concrete
The work includes the provision of cast-in-place concrete. Cement and aggregates, and concrete strength
specified in the plan shall be followed.
III. MASONRY
This item shall consist of furnishing and placing of Concrete Hollow Block (CHB) wall in accordance with this
specification and conforming to the lines, grades and dimensions shown on the approved plans.
CHB sizes shall be stated in the plan. Reinforcements shall be provided unless otherwise specified in the plan.
IV. METALS
The work shall consist of furnishing, fabricating, hauling, erecting, welding and painting of purlins, angular bar,
metal plates, sag rod, square bar, railings and other miscellaneous and structural metals in accordance with
this specification and in conformance to the approved plans.
Structural steel shall conform to ASTM standard specified in the plan.
1. Metal Fabrication
Sizes of steel grills in the detention cell and holding area, and aluminum shelves of evidence cabinet shall
follow the specifications stated in the plan.
Welding shall conform to AWS standards.
Fabricator shall submit shop drawings for approval by the engineer prior to fabrication.
V. WOOD AND PLASTICS
The work under this item shall consist of furnishing all required materials, tools, equipment and labor all
operations necessary for the satisfactory completion of all carpentry and joinery works in strict accord with
applicable drawings, details and these Specifications.
VI. DOORS AND WINDOWS
Refer to Schedule of Doors and Windows. Include all hardware and accessories.
1. Windows
Sliding and fixed windows shall follow specifications as stated in the plan. Submit shop drawings for approval
before fabrication.
2. Hardware
This includes locksets with description specified in the drawing.
3. Glazing
Clear glass with size and locations on windows and doors specified in the drawing.
VII. FINISHES
1. Plastering
Plaster may be applied by hand or by machine. Provide on newly hardened concrete within 24 hours following
form removal. Wet surfaces and rub with an abrasive tool to produce uniform color and texture. Use Portland
cement plaster.
2. Paints
Prepare each substrate as recommended by manufacturer. Verify all finish colors with the Architect.

 Use semi-gloss finish for all ceilings.


 Use epoxy enamel paint finish for steel windows frames and grilles.
 Submit color samples for approval.

VIII. ELECTRICAL
1. Basic Materials and Methods
All electrical works herein shall be done in strict conformity with the latest approved edition of the Philippine
Electrical Code (PEC), the rules and regulation of all local and national authorities concerned in the
enforcement of electrical laws.
Other notes and specifications shall be stated in the plan.
2. Lighting
All lighting details shall be shown in the schedule of loads of the electrical plan.
