 LIAISON WITH NGOs (BADE KILEPAL)

INTRODUCTION:

We are the students of Msc nursing final yea department of community health nursing visited the Bade
Kilepal community on 06/02/2019 with the NGO team of spars clinic maharani hospital jagdalpur. There
mentally ill are imparted with education and skills to join the main core body of the society and to enable a
normal social life.

OBJECTIVES OF TRANING PROGRAMME:

.
 To find out how the mentally ill get trained.
 To review the academic activities of spars clinic maharani hospital jagdalpur.
 To explore the facilities provided spars clinic maharani hospital jagdalpur to the mentally ill
persons.
 To understand the important role of community health workers in mental health care and their
management.
 To be able to recognize mental illness and become knowledgeable in management of mental illness.
 To understand the pathway of care for a person with mental illness.
 To be able to provide follow up and support to individuals and their families during management of
mental illness.
 To be able to advocate in the community for improving mental illness.
 To be able to create strategies to maintain your own well being.

INTRODUCTION OF VISIT

We are very grateful to write about the report on liaison with NGO at bade kilepal, jagdalpur on
06/02/2019 at 10:30 AM with the help of our respected teacher Ms. Shradha Ashawan (HOD, Department
Of Community Health Nursing), Mrs. S. Daharia (Msc. Demonstrator, Department Of Community Health
Nursing).We completed our work with the help of Dr. rishabh sao (nodal officer of DMHP, jagdalpur) and
their others team members of district mental health programme (DMHP) and participants are 30 members
of community health workers of bade kilepal.

OUR MISSION:
Identification of mental illness among community peoples is an emerging issue in the world and the
preparedness to tackle the problems is very merge both from the government and society. Realizing the
gravity of the issue peoples forum stated a holistic programme ‘’ spars clinic of maharani hospital
jagdalpur for rehabilitating the mentally ill and destitute community peoples.

ACTIVITIES:
 Firstly introduced mental illness and their treatment by Ms. Priti janghe, social worker to all health
workers.
 Dr. Rishabh Sao (Nodal Officer), explain to thinking of community peoples related to psychosis,
primary clinical manifestation of psychosis, and the action taken after the identification of any
mental illness.

 Mr. Rupesh Masih (CHN Officer), exaplain about seizure and neurosis, primary clinical
manifestation of seizure and neurosis, and the action taken after the identification of seizure and
neurosis.

 Ms. Mona Manhar (Psychologist), explain about the ADHD and depression, primary clinical
manifestation of ADHD and depression, and the action taken after the identification of ADHD
and depression.
  Mrs. Hina Sinha (Msc. Nursing 2nd Year Student, Department Of Community Health
Nursing), explain about the autism, primary clinical manifestation of autism and the action taken
after the identification of autism.


 Ms. Vijay Ratre (Msc. Nursing 2nd Year Student, Department Of Community Health Nursing),
explain about the mental retardation, primary clinical manifestation of mental retardation, and the action
taken after the identification of mental retardation.

 After that formulate the 3 groups to all participants for the identification of case scenario.
 Each group consists of 10 members. Each group has one separate case scenario for case
identification.
 Than after all group members to identify the correctly to all cases. These cases are respectively
group A has psychosis, group B has ADHD, and group C has case of depression.
  Than after providing knowledge about the facility of spars clinic maharani hospital jagdalpur for the
benefits of the mental ill patients and their family members.

FACILITIES PROVIDED BY SPARS CLINIC MAHARANI HOSPITAL JAGDALPUR

The following facilities are rendered by the institution:

1. Various Therapies:
According to the need and capability of each person’s the institute is providing the various types of
therapies to the woman’s. The most common is cognitive therapy, recreational therapy, in which mentally
ill woman’s is taught to facilitate their life’s and gained some skills.

2. Recreational Facilities:
There is also provision of recreational activities to the woman’s like annual function at
the beginning of year i.e. in January and picnic trips at the end of year December.

3. Vocational Training Centre:

Depending on the interest, and learning capabilities of the mentally ill, training in the following vocations
are imparted to help them to earn their living-
 Art , yoga
 Counselling and medication.

FUTURE PLANS;
 Focus on education, nursing and allied subjects to create more barefoot technicians and
professionals for rendering services.
 Conduct research and training g programme in the area of community mental health care.

CONCLUSION:

It was a pleasure and enjoyable movement for us to spent time with special population. We appreciate the
dedication and compassion of the all staffs of the DMHP for such unconditional services. We are now
acknowledged with such mental illness and their problems faced by them in the society. At last, we hope
for their better future and the spars clinic maharani hospital jagdalpur may get more support so they can
render more and more quality needs care to the community peoples.
