PLASTICS?
Plastics is the term commonly used to describe a wide range of
synthetic or semi-synthetic materials that are used in a huge and
growing range of applications. The term ‘’plastic’’ is derived from the
Greek word ''plastikos'', meaning fit for moulding. This refers to the
material’s malleability, or plasticity during manufacture, which allows it to
be cast, pressed, or extruded into a variety of shapes - such as films,
fibres, plates, tubes, bottles, boxes, and much more.

Manly Plastics now stands as the largest provider of
end-to-end plastic product solutions in the
Philippines - capable of everything from mold
engineering to fabrication, mass production to
decoration. It is regularly supplying plastic parts and
products to top Asian and American brands from a
wide spectrum of industries.
POLYPROPYLENE (PP)

- is a thermoplastic “addition polymer”

made from the combination of
propylene monomers. It is used in a
variety of applications to include
packaging for consumer products, plastic
parts for various industries
POLYETHYLENE (PE)

- is a thermoplastic polymer with

variable crystalline structure and an
extremely large range of applications
depending on the particular type. It is
one of the most widely produced
plastics in the world
COLORANT
- are substances used to confer color in a substrate
- Organic or inorganic compounds
insoluble in plastic materials, and
Pigments normally supplied as agglomerates of
powder.
Dyes
- Organic compounds soluble in plastic materials, and normally supplied as agglomerates of
powder.
- used to create hollow plastic

- used to produce products with a fixed cross
sectional profile like tubes, sheets or films.

BLOW MOLDING
The invention of the plastic soda
container was one of the first
products to utilize the potential
of plastic blow molding fully.

The use of blow molding has not

only cut down on the production
time for many plastic products,
but also plastic waste, due to the
small amount of plastic waste
created in the molding process.
