I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
1. Identify the Elements of Movements in Space
2. Show appreciation for the Elements of Movements in Space
3. Perform festival dance with the use of Elements of Movements in Space
PRE- ACTIVITY
REVIEW:
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. What was our last lesson in yesterday?
2. What is the difference between locomotor and non-locomotor movement?
3. What are the examples of locomotor movement? Non-locomotor movement?
MOTIVATION:
1. The teacher will show video clip about festival dance and prepare some follow up questions:
What have you observe from the video?
What do you think our lesson all about?
PRESENTATION:
1. The teacher will present the topic “Elements of Movements in Space” through asking
questions:
What are the Elements of Movements in Space?
A. ACTIVITY:
1.The teacher will give one strip of paper containing word per group and each group will study
and discuss to their classmates. And prepare for class interactions.
B. ANALYSIS:
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. Why do we need to learn about Elements of Movements in Space?
2. What is the purpose of the Elements of Movements in Space?
3. How to apply the Elements of Movements in Space in a festival dance?
C. ABSTRACTION:
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. What are the Elements of Movements in Space?
2. What is the purpose of Elements of Movements in Space?
3. What is/are the similarities and difference between religious and non-religious festival?
D. APPLICATION:
1. The teacher will divide the class into 5 groups and each group performs in front of the class
the basic steps/movement in festival dancing using Elements of Movements in Space. They
will be given 5 minutes only to practice.
2. They will be rated according to the following criteria:

Direction: IDENTIFICATION. Identify the following following pictures if what element is being
described.

5. Floor pattern/design
V. ASSIGNMENT:
Direction: practice with a group the basic steps with a combination of locomotor and non-locomotor
movements and perform in front of the class.
