LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH III

I.OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

 Identify the gender of nouns.


 Differentiate the different gender of nouns.
 Show tactfulness when communicating and sustain in participating in group activities.

II. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES:


1. PRESENTATION:

Read the short story in the class.


(The students will also read the short story.)

Martina’s Birthday
My sister attended a birthday party last
Saturday. Her friend, Martina celebrated his 9th
birthday that day. His Dad hired a clown to
make the kids laugh.
His Mom baked a huge birthday cake. His
Uncle Fred cooked spaghetti, pizza, fried
chicken, hotdogs and burgers. Mrs. Santos, our
next door neighbor, helped put up the balloons
and decorations for the party.
(The students will give their answers.)

2. DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:

-Tell to the pupils that there are gender of nouns.

-Explain and differentiate the gender of a nouns.

-Give examples using the classroom resources.

MASCULINE GENDER
- A boy is playing in the playground.
-Sean is good in writing.

FEMININE GENDER
-The pretty princess was in loved.
-Her mother is very supportive.

COMMON GENDER
-The baby is playing.
-My friends are smart.

NEUTER GENDER
- They used to live in America.
-This bag is my favorite.
(Students will give their own answers.)
3. GENERALIZATION/ABSTRACTION:

“There are four gender of nouns Ma’am”

- How many gender of nouns we have?

Very Good.
“Ma’am, the four gender of nouns are
masculine, feminine, common and neuter
gender.
-What are those gender of nouns?

Ma’am it is said to be a masculine gender if it

FOUR (4) GENDER OF NOUNS:

 Masculine Gender- nouns that


represent only the male gender.
 Feminine Gender- nouns that
represent only the female gender.
 Common Gender- nouns that
represent both t male and female
gender.
 Neuter Gender- nouns that represent
non-living things.
4. APPLICATION:

-Direction: Identify the following words

neuter. Write it on your paper.

5. GROUP ACTIVITY:

Now were going to have group activity. I will


group you into four groups. Each group will
present their activity. Just clap 3 times if your
group finished your work and shout done.

IV. EVALUATING LEARNING:

-Direction: Encircle the nouns in each


sentence. Write the gender of each noun on the
lines.

Construct and make your own five (5)
