INT – GARRY’S APARTMENT

GARRY would wake up to turn his

 ALARM CLOCK
alarm off. He gets up to rub his
eyes, clearing his throat as he  HOME AMBIENCE
does so.

He would get up from his bed and  CREAKING WOOD

walk towards the kitchen. He  POT OF COFFEE BREWING
would go to place a coffee pod
in the coffee machine.

GARRY opens his laptop to answer  NOTIFICATION SOUNDS (EMAIL,

his emails and looks at the
time, he immediately spits out
his coffee, grabs his tie from
the drawer, and runs out the
door with his keys.
[CAMERA ZOOMING IN ON LAPTOP]
TWITTER, TEXTS etc.)
 SPITTING OUT COFFEE
 AMBIENCE.
 LAPTOP FAN
 DISTANT NOISE OF GARRY
RUNNING DOWN THE STAIRS

EXT – OUTSIDE GARRIES APARTMENT

 KEYS RUSTLING
GARRY Quickly runs out of his
apartment and locks the door. He
heads to his car and gets in.
 SUM 41 “FATLIP”
A short scene of GARY Driving.  CAR AMBIENCE
While driving, he puts on the  RAIN ON CAR
radio in his car it plays “Fat
lip” by Sum 41

[JUMP CUT]
 OFFICE AMBIENCE
GARY is at his desk at work, he  KEYBOARD
is typing on his computer when
his boss comes and places a
bunch of paperwork on his desk,
GARY looks the papers and sinks
his head into his arms.
  SOUND OF ALARM CLOCK

QUICK CUTS – MONTAGE OF GARRYS

WEEK. VERY QUICK SHOTS OF HIM
WAKING UP IN EARLY, DRIVING TO
WORK, BEING GIVEN PILES OF WORK,
AND COMING HOME VERY LATE AND
SLEEPING.  ALARM CLOCK
 INSIDE A MOVING CAR.
 OFFICE AMBIENCE
 LARGE PILE OF PAPERS DROPPING
ON DESK.

-- repeat these around 8 or 9 times.

Around the 8th replay, the next
ALARM CLOCK that goes off, GARY
would wake up breathing heavily,
he checks his clock, realising
its Sunday, he wipes his eyes
and gets up.

GARRY Heads to his laptop to  -A BUILDUP OF A LOUD SOUND

check his emails, he realises it UNTIL THE 8TH OR 9TH REPLAY OF
is Sunday, and takes a deep HIS WEEK
breath.

GARRY notices his stress and

goes to research how to calm
himself down. He would come
across a website that tells him
about “Lucid Dreaming”

GARRY Gathers all the necessary  KEYBOARD TYPING

items required; he places a book  MUFFLED CITY AMBIENCE
on his table labelled “Dream
Journal” and goes to sleep

- EXT – NIGHTMARE WORLD

GARRY would wake up in a
terrifying world with various
disconcerting sounds and lights,
smoke would fill the surrounding
area, GARRY gets up and is
mortified by this place. He
looks all around him for an
escape, he begs for an escape  SCARY SOUNDS
when a light appears from his  HORROR AMBIENCE
left.  DISTANT DISTORTED SCREAMING
 FIRE
GARRY looks to his left and  BUILDINGS FALLING DOWN
notices a big door with a bright  DISTORTED LAUGHING
shiny world, my sticks his and  CRYING
through the door, and steps  DISTORTED MUFFLES MUSIC
through.

- EXT – DREAM WORLD

GARRY would step through the

door, and he is greeted with
bright lights and comfy sounds,
around him would be a lot of
bright fairy lights and leaves,
reminding him of an autumns day
he would look around confuse and
have the sudden realisation that  BIRDS CHIRPING
he is dreaming, knowing this, he  WATERFALL
becomes LUCID . GARRY with his  CALMING AMBIENCE
newfound powers, he gives
 TREES BLOWING
himself something fun to do, he
 CALMING MUSIC
thinks of an archery set, the

archery set would appear in
front of and he would begin to
use it
