Heat storage
When the density and weight of the materials inside the insulated frame of the
solar cooker increases, the capacity of the box to maintain heat is increased
These dense materials, loaded with heat, will radiate that heat inside the box,
keeping it warm for a long period of time, even if the day is over.

Inner and outer case material.

For the outer and inner box, marine playwood is proposed, this material was
chosen because it has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity, it is easily
accessible, low cost, and due to its physical composition it has good resistance
to moisture and allows it to be easily mobilized.
To the outer box a special treatment is recommended in order to improve its
resistance to moisture, apply sealant for wood and mahogany lacquer.

Thermal Insulator
As a thermal insulator, 50mm glass wool is suggested. This type of insulator was
chosen because it has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity (0.038 W / mºC

We suggest that it is formed by two flat glasses of 3mm thickness, with a
separation between them of 1 cm, this to improve the greenhouse effect. These
glasses allow the penetration of sunlight, but also prevent the escape of infrared
radiation from the hot metal plate, all this in order to obtain greater heat
accumulation inside the kitchens.

Absorber plate

It is proposed to use a copper plate 35x35 cm 0.4 mm thick, folded 1cm on its four
sides, this in order that the plate is lifted from the bottom of the kitchen in case of
liquid spillage and to reduce the heat losses due to conduction inside it. Also paint
it in matt black on both sides to improve the collection of incident solar energy
