1st week

On my first week, especially on my first day I feel that there’s a lot of transition needs to be done I
really totally feel that I’m walking in a strange land but later on in that day they started sharing a stories
and making jokes while we work and yeah they made us laugh. Because of this humbleness and kindness
they showed us now I don’t hesitate to ask questions.

As the day goes by I noticed as I observed that a student will easily learn if he or she is interested
and if the teacher is also willing to give what you need to know and in the shop situation the student
needs to be observant and ask question when he or she don’t understand.

2nd week

My second week was just neutral I have done my assigned work with a joyful heart and a learning
mind.

Day on this week goes on just right because the mechanic supervised us very well and they always
kept in touch. They showed us the way, procedures and technics however life isn’t a movie with a happy
ending because a student will always be a student who commits mistake but in every mistake it has a
lesson that was learned. I want to do my assigned work with quality, accuracy, neatness and with the
proper and accurate way.

I learned that if you want to repair cars or even design a car then you should think like a mechanic
and don’t hesitate to try because trying your best will lead you to perfection.

3rd week

On our third week I have learned that a mechanic is a doctor of a vehicle and if a doctor has their
field of specialization a mechanic also has their field of specialization like in this shop where I work
wherein they mastered turbo and automatic transmission servicing but of course they also accept other
works. If you mastered one thing and you are good at it then surely you would be known and then
people would recommend you and trust you this thing.

4th week

On our fourth week we have focused more on under chassis like front drive, 4 wheeled drive, transfer
case and brake maintenance so I have understand how this 4 wheeled drive operates and I also learned
how to valve topit a 2 and 3 C Toyota engine where in at first I think this engine don’t need a valve topit
but it can be. Since day one I noticed that cleanliness is one of the most important part in automotive
servicing.

General reflection
In my 22 days of working in this field of irons I have learned and experienced many things about engines
and other automotive servicing but I didn’t just learn how to service an automobile but also the principle
on how it works. In this days I sometimes think that if you really don’t have interest you would not enjoy
working that’s why Im so happy that my heart belongs to this irons. A man says that experience is the
best teacher and in our field of specialization experience was the best way to learn because even if we
learn the theory the accuracy won’t be perfect because it would just be playing in our mind with
ignorance so immersion is very helpful to me because I didn’t just learn mentally and physically but I
also learn if how it is with my emotion because in servicing a vehicle it would not be easy because you
need to fallow procedures so you should avoid your eagerness and patiently do it step by step then
surely you will see success and perfection to what you are doing. I therefore conclude that learning
should walk through steps of a process wherein you should take every step whatever it takes because
you love what your doing.
