An adjective is a Word that describes a Adverbs tell us in what way someone

noun. It tells what something looks like. does something.

The form of an adjective does not change. Adverbs can modify verbs, adjectives
or other adverbs.
Example: Mary /John is elegant
Example: Alex works slowly
He is an extraordinary man
(adverb of manner)

Some adjectives give us factual

information about the noun: age, size, Form: adjective + ly

colour,… These are called fact adjective. dangerous dangerously

There are some adjectives that show what careful carefully

somebody thinks about something or
somebody: nice, horrible, attractive,… nice nicely
These are called opinion adjectives.
Not all words ending in –ly are adverbs.
There are adjectives ending in –ly:

friendly, lonely, ugly, silly,….
