Title: Teacher’s Diary
Main Character: Teacher Song and Teacher Ann

Summary
The story is all about a two teachers who assigned at the same rural school and it was
teacher Ann and teacher Song. Teacher Ann was assigned first, at first she did not like to
assign on that school but she has no choice is to accept it. All her experience there she
wrote it on a diary the bad and good happen there as a teacher of the seven students. One
day she has to be transferred to another school and left the diary. Teacher song came by as
a substitute teacher on that school. One day teacher song saw the diary he read it and
because of it, it helps him to know how he handles his Students. As every day of reading the
diary he unexpectedly fall in love to teacher Ann and all his feelings to her he write it to the
diary and also all his experience there as a teacher. Teacher Song also left the school
because he realized he must go back to study again so that he can know more on how to
become a teacher. Teacher Ann returned to the school boat, She found out that her diary is
still there and also she found out that someone else had also written his diary and she read
this and also because of this she also fall in love to teacher Song even if she didn’t know
teacher Song. She also hoping that someday they will meet each other and because of some
reason and some unexpected happen they met each other at last.

What I liked
When teacher Song discovered a diary belonging to teacher Ann, and he show to the
student how the train move and travel by pulling the school boat using the motor boat.

What I disliked
I don’t like the ending of the story.

My Favorite part
Two strangers who had never met before and spend the entirety of the film apart, but
walked the same path teaching rural kids in a remote floating houseboat school with no
electricity, phone service or internet. But a personal Diary written by Ann was discovered by
Song and this connects them together. They came to know each other by a diary.
Describe the theme of the movie
 Money can’t buy happiness.
 Don’t judge people based on the surface. It is better to die free than live under
tyranny.

What make it unique?

They had a floating classroom branch school. This school has only four to seven
students and one teacher. The diary of Ann a former teacher, it was only thing that makes
teacher Song relieves the loneliness. Because it has many stories of teacher Ann at this
School was written in her diary, and teacher Song also read this diary.

What can you say about the attitude of the teacher?

The teachers was assigned there is very humble, kindness, understanding, and most of
all they are loving to their students.

What do you think is the perspective of the writer?

The writer inspired to the other teachers not to be afraid if they were assigned in the
rural placed even there’s no signal in their area and no matter how difficult it may be, you
have to deal with it in order to move forward and help the children to learn and to finish
their schooling, even their school is far away from the cities.

As a future Educators, do you accept the challenge to teach in the kind of environment?
Yes, very inspiring piece of work. As a future educator I accept the challenge to teach in
that kind of environment, because their place is quiet and away from trouble and most of all
the students there are zero knowledge unlike the schools in cities. The students also there
are they don’t know how to read and write, the only thing to know is to help their parents
on how to caught a fish.

What kind of learning environment does the movie depicts?

Make the physical environment safe and conducive to learning

What are your thoughts about how the movie proceeded?

From what I’ve internalized on the story, pondered a lot about it. It made me think,
how should I act and respond towards my students in the future. What behavior to use and
how will I communicate to them. That I should not use brute things by that the parents
could put the blame on me.

Can you consider the setup of the classroom in the movie as conventional? Why or Why
not? Expound.
No because as a good classroom the environment must be safe, and clean and the
movie showed that the school is a floating school maybe on that kind of area the student
will be harmed, lots of accident can happened there, maybe some of the student will
drowned in water or some sickness can like diarrhea can cause harmful to their health.

What are your thoughts after watching the movie?

Being a teacher there is no easy task, there’s a big possibility that we may be assigned
far away from our home, just like the main characters on the movie. The challenges that we
face may not be easy that is why studying in this college should be on my top priorities. So I
will not like the male character on the movie, which is not in demand because of his in
adequateness, unlike the female teacher who is smart.

What have you learned in the movie?

I’ve learned from the movie are courage, self-motivation, self-respect, humbleness,
loyalty, and etc.

Do you like how the movie ends? Why or Why not?

Not so…. Because the characters of the story was didn’t have enough time to bonding, talking,
and etc. because of the sound of generator, teacher Ann cannot heard teacher Song and teacher
Song also cannot heard teacher Ann.

You are given a chance to change the plot of the story, what would it be? Elaborate.
None, because the writer or the director of the story was already known on what they
wrote on the story and it is bases on a real scenario of the teacher where assigned in that
kind of place.

The story is rally inspiring. I love watching it again and again. It teaches us many lessons
not only about love but also about the teacher real life scenario. I really like this story simple
but very inspiring…

I thought this movie was…

I thought this movie was more on love story moment, but I was wrong because the
movie is very inspiring to us not for a teachers only but also to the future teachers
someday.

Conclusion
This film is much recommended for watching. It had two moral values at once. How
to be a great teacher and how to know a meaning of love. Everyone is a available to watch
it. Because the love story is not over, it is just ordinary love. So, it is safe for a child.
